I’m going to try a couple of games at 9/9 and a couple at 8/8 and see where my sweet spot lands. Struggling a little now at 9/9 although I just sat on a 3-1 fastball and crushed a homer to left-center. Making perfect contact on a pitch you’re looking for never gets old.

Lol. BostonRob just dropped his final version so I want to quickly go through each team and set up their lineups and rosters and then start my franchises.

I’m the same way. I can hit a 95+ fastball on 9/9, while can also be made to look silly if it’s well located. The only thing I’m not sure of yet is whether or not I can generate enough offense with them at 9.

But I think I have decided to go with 9/9 for the opening series of my two franchises and see where I’m at.

Right after I said I was struggling a put together a 3 run rally to take a 4-2 lead. Solo homer followed by a solid single, RBI double, single, RBI infield single. You can really feel the difference going from a tough starter to a middle of the road reliever with pitch speed higher. Love the way this game is playing for me right now!!

Next game with the same pitch speed settings I scored 9 runs on 17 hits (1 homer, 6 doubles and the rest singles). Another thing I’m really liking with pitch speed at 9/9 is I’m seeing more hits in the direction the ball is pitched. Fastballs on the outside corner I’m lining the other way. Before when I was using lower pitch speeds I had time to sit back and was able to pull almost everything. Now the hit variety is much better. I also notice that the defense doesn’t shift on me as much with the higher pitch speed. Not sure if that’s just a coincidence though.

Are you going to try 10/10? I haven’t had a chance to start my franchise yet, but I will use 9/9. Don’t think I can handle 10/10 yet

Just my 2 cents......

max speeds are easier when using the MLB15 or the retro hit view.

Fish Eye is a different animal.
i know the view of the stadium looks amazing on fish eye, but that ball gets on you in a hurry.

I hit better w/max speeds with either of those other 2 views.

Maybe try that before you reduce p-spd sliders?

i know the view of the stadium looks amazing on fish eye, but that ball gets on you in a hurry.

I hit better w/max speeds with either of those other 2 views.

I’ll give those other camera angles a try. I’ve used fish eye for the last 3+ years so it’ll be an adjustment using anything else.

I haven’t tried 10/10. I think I’m going to stick with 9/9 for the time being. I’m also going to try the recommended camera angles for higher pitch speed and see how that goes.

I gave 10/10 a good, honest try and it’s just too much for me. Especially against guys that throw 95+. These pitchers give me all the challenge I can handle on 9/9.

Going to start my Phillies franchise tomorrow. Can’t wait!!

We are trying 9/9 now. We will fond that balanced sweet spot soon enough.

But no doubt I am glad I have moved it up a lot from 6/5 which became too easy this year.

Your not kidding. I can get some hits on 10, but it almost seems lucky, as I pretty much swing at every pitch (that I can see). Looks like 9/9 is my sweet spot

I agree with 9/9. It’s challenging against good pitchers but not to the point where it becomes frustrating and I don’t want to play anymore hahaha. I’m going to try the 15 camera angle for a game or 2 and see how I like that. I love fish eye but I think higher speed pitches get on you faster than they might with other camera angles.

No matter what # everyone decides on, I'm fairly confident that both speed sliders need to be identical.
