I just got back in to playing 20 on PS5 yesterday. My Phillies chise, which is in S2, I'm holding off cause I like to make the real life moves in it and I'm at the trade deadline, so have to wait.

But my Blue Jays chise is it's own universe, so decided to start that up again. Played 2 games that were the most fun I've had in 20 on PS5 yet.

Home against the Yankees, 1st game just could never get the lead, lost 3-2. 2nd game got the lead in the 7th 5-4, and Giles blew the save giving up 2 runs in the 9th.

I really can't express how much fun 20 is on PS5, you guys that haven't played it yet would see a world of difference. For 21, they really don't have to upgrade much besides Franchise mode and better player models....the game is just a blast on PS5 as it is.

I was very surprised how beautiful this game is visually on the PS5. I was stricken by it right away. Looks and feels so real you wonder but are also excited with what they can do with 21

Just started playing this again after taking a couple years off. The CPU is crushing me on HOF, should I just reduce pitching difficulty to all star it adjust some sliders instead? Maybe CPU contact back to 4?

Yeah drop down to All-Star. Are you using the exact settings on the OP (specifically no pitching cursor?).

So what are you folks sticking with your PS4 for at least another cycle like me thinking/looking for to justify picking up MLB 21.

I am in the boat of getting it. They always (SDS) somehow fond a way to keep pushing the envelope in terms of improved gameplay.

20’s release though was a rocky one. So I am not diving in on release this go around. As much as I am hyped for a new year of The Show I was really aggravated for 4-6 weeks while we worked through some bad visual bugs.

I do not want to experience that again.

So for the first time I am going to hold off on release day.....and let the game marinate for a couple of months and hear feedback from you guys.

I simply love 20. It plays amazing for me. It can hold me over and allow me to observe and see if 21 is a must buy on PS4 at release.

Let me hear your thoughts.

Man they just always seem to make the gameplay just a little bit better every year. And since I’m sure I won’t find a ps5 anytime soon I will be getting it on release day.

There is no way I won’t buy it. Lol. To me the gameplay is the most important since I spend 95 percent of my time just playing the game that’s all that matters to me. And you know it will be upgraded they always do.

I definitely would love some franchise upgrades but I think they are maxed out on the ps4 so I wouldn’t except much with that. I definitely hope the ps5 will have upgrades to the franchise mode. Which Btw I think is a damn good franchise mode as is. I know a lot of people complain about it but is freaking good.

There definitely was a ton more bugs last year than normal that did suck but the gameplay was so could we looked past it. I mean 20 is so amazing so I see why we would question buying on release day but it’s happening for me.

If you're going to run with PS4 for another cycle, it probably makes the most sense to sit on 21 for a bit. If you dove into the deep end and got a PS5, you almost have to get 21 at launch. My .02.

I've been trying to get my hands on a PS5...I just am dealing with so much real life stuff (taking care of my mom) that I can't even jump onto a website every time I hear that there's going to be a drop.

I want to see if MLBTS 21 is dual-entitlement. If it is, it's a slam dunk purchase. If it isn't dual-entitlement and I'm still without a PS5...that's where I am going to be very uncertain about getting the PS4 version. But given how much I play this series, dropping an extra 60 bucks isn't that big of a deal to me.

Well, I do have a PS5 and will definitely be getting the PS5 version of The Show provided it exists (that's not technically confirmed yet). When/if it comes out I'll definitely give my thoughts on it. Performance will be at the top of my concerns list, having played '20 on PS5 backwards-compatible and knowing how smooth that is. We know there's going to be improved visuals for the next-gen, but I hope that doesn't cut into the framerate again (although judging by the other PS5 sports game releases out so far, that seems like it will be the case).

Absolutely! It is good to be able to talk with and kick around ideas and strategies with people that have the same interests and not get involved in all of the BS and negativity. Enjoy the PS5 . I hope I get my hands on both systems in the next month or two.
