I am in the boat of getting it. They always (SDS) somehow fond a way to keep pushing the envelope in terms of improved gameplay.

20’s release though was a rocky one. So I am not diving in on release this go around. As much as I am hyped for a new year of The Show I was really aggravated for 4-6 weeks while we worked through some bad visual bugs.

I do not want to experience that again.

So for the first time I am going to hold off on release day.....and let the game marinate for a couple of months and hear feedback from you guys.

I simply love 20. It plays amazing for me. It can hold me over and allow me to observe and see if 21 is a must buy on PS4 at release.

    Let me hear your thoughts.

I’m looking at doing what I done on 20. I waited until April I believe to jump in. I was honestly just having such a good time with 19 I didn’t have the itch to change up.

I’m glad I did, but don’t see myself getting 21 until later again unless there are blow me away changes. 20 is awesome, and I’m playing it as we speak. I will probably finished with my 2021 season before the release.

The game just hasn’t gotten old for me, and I don’t think it will.

As for the system......I’m saying PS4. I just don’t like upgrading until the bugs are for the most part worked out of the new systems.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider

The only game I play is the Show 20. I’m trying to get the PS5 and I have tried on a couple drops but failed. I am not in a hurry for the PS5 but I want it before April so I know which game to get. I feel like it should be easier to get by then but who knows. Might still be trying to get one in the summer or later. I hope not.

On a side note, my Braves are frustrating me. I win 6 in a row and then lose 5 in a row. I am 45-33 and 3 games back of 1st place. I struggle playing at home as we are 18-18 for some reason. I can’t pitch with Soroka. He has over 5.00 ERA.

      Boy, I love this game.

Having a very hard time concentrating lately, causing frustrating and poor results. Swinging at bad pitches, throwing bad pitches, etc.

How do you guys block out “life” (pandemic, family, work, etc.) and just focus on the game?

That's the whole reason I turn the game on. I love getting immersed in the game and drowning out work, and like for a few hours.

This will sound strange, but I have to have my headphones. My kids got me a sweet pair of Arctis headphones for my birthday two years ago and when those go on I'm transported out of this world. Works for me; like a quick little vacation. Believe you me, transporting out of my world any chance I get is essential.

Happened to me last night. Had a 5-0 lead in the 5th then got 4 phone calls from work and when i got back to the game I got all screwed up and ended up losing 9-7. I was aggrivated to say the least

I feel your pain brother. I’ll be batting and waiting for the pitch, and all of a sudden some thought jumps into my head, lose focus and swing at a pitch WAY out of the strike zone. Makes me want to throw my controller through the tv. Just not sure how to stop that. The poster above mentioned that he used headphones. Sounds like a great idea to block the world out while playing

Lmao! I’m still as competitive at age 50 as I was at age 10. I have never broken any of my controllers but like you said it sure is tempting. I always wear headphones when I play regardless of what Type of game I am playing or if I am totally alone. Maybe I need a pair of headphones like the poster you mentioned. Lol

I am hitting pretty well on wide view and fastball 8 and offspeed 7 but do you have an opinion as to which view may be“easier” to see the pitch? I feel like I see the ball better on wide view , the low pitch in particular but maybe it is different for each person . Wondered what your opinion was. Thanks

Living up north, this game feels so good to play in the January and February months. It just feels like summer the way the game looks, with the sunsets and the lights from the concessions in the background.

Seems like, unlike any other sports game, if you play enough games in franchise you truly get a mixed bag of results. I go 5 or 6 games where nothing goes right, then I go on a 4 game win streak.

Also with random injuries, having to call up replacements or sign someone off the streets to fill gaps during a season, Its the most rewarding franchise simulation if you stick to it and just keep it going.

Ha ha! I’m 57 and am as competitive as you are. I play on HOF and use Armour’s sliders (but pitch speed at 8/7. Sometimes I think I should lower pitch speed or even move back to AllStar but my foolish pride won’t allow it!

Currently going into the top of the 9th in my Reds franchise with a 2-1 lead. I’ve given up 3 hits so far and have only managed 4 hits myself. But at least I feel that I earn my wins with the settings I have. Wish me luck!’
