Sorry to bring this up again, but do you have cut scenes on? If you do, turn them to offense only. When you have them on pitching, the catcher never shows the pitch location. You always have to step off and then he will.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
You know, I had considered the pre-pitch camera thing a possibility, but since you said you weren't getting the glove icon OR the pitch type I figured that couldn't be it. Even in those pre-pitch cameras it usually highlights the suggested pitch type in the window at the bottom of the screen. In this case, the API was always on, but the pre-pitch cameras were superseding it and never showing you the catcher's glove.
Ah well. Glad you got it squared away! I swear this new camera has caused trouble for so many people on the board this year.Comment

WHOA, holy *%$% guys, got a huge surprise firing up the PS5 this morning. I'm in the Show 21 tech test.
Kinda funny though, as I have NEVER played Diamond Dynasty ever for the Show. Actually never have played that mode for any sports game.Last edited by titanswin53; 02-23-2021, 09:48 AM.Comment

Hey Armor,
If you don't mind, can you give me a brief breakdown of your regression house rules? From what i read it sounds like I can, for example, pull 1 point from a sub 34 player's durability and add it to contact vs lefties.
I got confused when you discussed a player under 36 and you talked about a half regression.
I guess what I'm really asking is how do you counteract regression?Last edited by Cliffking; 02-24-2021, 03:23 AM.Comment

Armor do you find that power at 4 for cpu and user really help reduce the crazy high number of homeruns per game?Comment

Hey Armor,
If you don't mind, can you give me a brief breakdown of your regression house rules? From what i read it sounds like I can, for example, pull 1 point from a sub 34 player's durability and add it to contact vs lefties.
I got confused when you discussed a player under 36 and you talked about a half regression.
I guess what I'm really asking is how do you counteract regression?
Here are the house rules on the OP:
1. I make position edits based on needs and profiles all the time. There are no consequences for doing this.
2. I'm allowed to trade 1 for 1 between a pitcher's durability and their stamina, but only during the off season. This can coincide with a position edit (RP to SP for example).
3. All players must be allowed to regress without edits if they are having a bad year.
4. For players under 34, I'm allowed to counteract regression, but only if they are having a good year.
5. For players under 36, I'm allowed to counteract half of the regression, but only if they are having a good year.
6. For players of any age, I'm allowed to counteract regression using a trade system, where points from one attribute are traded into another in order to keep it up. This can ONLY be used to counteract regression, cannot be used to boost an attribute higher then where it started the year at. Points taken from Durability are worth double, but it also costs double to keep Durability up.
So with a player ages 34+ I can only counteract regression by half if they had a typical season based on their career statistics.
So for example let’s imagine Aaron Judge is 35 years old and in the previous season (age 34) he hit 40 HR’s had 100 RBI’s and batted .270
However he regressed in his contact vs RHP -4 and against LHP -2 and his power vs RHP regressed 6 and regressed 4 vs LHP.
Because of his age I can increase contact vs RHP +2 and vs LHP +1 for a total of 3 points.
With power I can counteract it by adding 3 points back vs RHP and 2 points vs LHP for a total of 5 points.
So now I have 8 points I reversed but now I need to trade those 8 points and regress other ratings a total of 8 points. So maybe I take that away from reaction, fielding, arm strength, and durability. Your choice what to do in terms of where you trade those points with in his ratings.
With pitchers. Anytime you increase stamina (at any age) you reduce durability point for point. So if you move a long reliever out of the bullpen and he has a stamina of 70 and you increase it to 85......you must decrease his durability by 15 points.
Hope that helps. Now Playing on PS5:

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
I have almost finished playing a series with every single game.. we are now in day 4 ending out some 4 series games and 3 series games.
the show how awesome these sliders are and the randomness and realism of baseball is with the sliders and the game. Baltimore beat the yankees 10-6!! in fact it was 10-3 at one stage and a late 3 run homer made it look closer.
and the Giants ran wild against the dodgers BP and won also 9-3
so 2 bad teams beating 2 beasts quite easy. this doesn't normally happen in sports games but it does in real life baseball and does in this game
for anyone asking who do I choose to play with>?? I randomly pick a team but I swap during the game and I try and win with whoever I am playing with. so the first 3 innings I will play as one team then the next 3 the other and so on..
last night I had a epic 15 innings game (take that 2021 stupid new rules!) rays walked it off against Pirates 6-5 Pirates blew a 5-1 lead and could have actually won this series had the BP not blow in. once again bad teams beat good teams all the time in the real world and it's happening in the game.Comment

If you take two points away from durability to add to power vs RHP it’s actually worth 4 points added to Power vs RHP. On the other hand if you want to increase a players durability 4 points you would have to take away a total of 8 points away from other attributes.
