Yankees Year 5 has drawn to a close!

The Yankees won their second straight World Series!!! They were able to defeat a very tough Washington Nationals team 4 games to 2.

The off-season has begun and will be streamed as well. For all those that have followed all 5 years of this franchise since it’s dawn on MLB 17 I hope you enjoyed another outstanding season filled with great storylines.

We are now going to have some fun with Bacons Yankees and the 1994 Yankees Season Replay!!

Yankees Year 6 Spring Training will begin in February of 2022.

Every game, every pitch for our 6th straight year and what will be our 3rd straight year on MLB 20!!!

I am having such a dilemma on which files to play right now lol.

There are so many great rosters….I am dizzy.

So we are going to roll right now with that Year 2 1990-2007 Fantasy Flashback Giants and the 1994 Yankees season replay.

Not every pitch every game….otherwise we will never get to enjoy all the rosters.

I finally can play after 5 years as MLB The Show is on Xbox cloud gaming!!

I always loved clean screen but what I really love in your thread is the random generation

Here are my tips for random plays

Too many A prospects and players in the game, so each year I randomly select about 6 to 8 A and B prospects and depending on the role of 'the dice' they can go to C,D or even F potential or remain A or B

I then choose 2 C and D prospects and see if they can get A or B potential

I also do this with Veterans, to see if they will have an early crash to their ratings as some do at 28,29,30 and then I choose some Vets that I will boost their attributes to become surprise breakout players as we see each year

Armor you aren't kidding. If you remember I stole from you the idea to fantasy draft an 80's franchise and it has been so much fun I cancelled my plans to play any other file. I am in year 2 just past the All Star break, playing every pitch. We have a shaky 2 game lead in the AL west and have added pitcher Jose De Leon but are looking to add more after the CPU made some bold moves among the top AL contenders.

We dusted off an oldie but a goodie that we had not played since MLB 19.

The Quest For Donny Baseball 1987 Yankees Year 4 is now going.

We will be playing this franchise as a lead up to March 2022 when we begin out 6th straight year of our Yankees every pitch every inning all 162 franchise going for our third straight World Series title!!!!!

Hope to see you peeps on Twitch as we are no doubt heading into our third straight year (and most likely several more years to follow) on MLB The Show 20.

We revived our 1987 Yankees Dynasty thread in the dynasty section.

I will be updating it every two weeks with series results and news around the league. Should be a lot of fun.

I can't answer for these sliders but I can provide input on sliders from 20 to 21 in general.

After putting near 100 hours into 21 before I quit and went back to 20, I started with my slider set from 20 (my personal, didn't post them) and had to make quite a few changes. With the changes in hitting (discipline going away and being useless... Horrible by the way...) and changes to fielding, a lot of the sliders did not translate too well to 21.

Hitting feels different and is, in my opinion, different in 21 and this throws sliders from 20 out the window to me.

I will say I have not played 21 extensively since the summer. I tried to pick it up a month ago and just couldn't.

Again I know it isn't specific to this set, but I think the general principle holds true.

And the CPU doesn’t have much thump unless you play on legend in my opinion. We have something close to a decent set at S & B Sliders but that is pitching on Legend with Classic Pitching.

But yeah, something was different this year. It would have been interesting to see what Armor would have came up with.

Here is to hoping 22 will be improved.
