Armor, just curious if you are thinking about playing ‘22 this year or if you are sticking with ‘20?

Something did not sit right with me while playing ‘21 on Xbox, but I played some more after getting a PS5 and upgrading my TV and haven’t had that feeling so I am actually looking forward to the new game and broadcast booth.

I get that you and others may be content to stick with ‘20, though.

MLBTS20 4 Life. Too many great classic rosters, SOTS and gameplay (hitting) is just better IMO.

If I had a strong desire to modern day baseball I could see that…..but I don’t care to have the most updated roster at all.

I am also not fond of the feel of hitting anymore on The Show….it went backwards IMO for directional/timed guys like me.

20 for me is the sweetest feel and variety for hitting they to this day have ever made.

Agree! I still have an internal battle between fish eye 1 and retro batting view. Both bring a lot to the table but in a different/beautiful way.

What’s up everyone. Armor I hope you’re doing good buddy. You’re 100 percent right on the hitting 21 was terrible I picked it up on sale after I got my ps5 just to see what it was all about.

I will say this I played the beta test for 22 and hitting seems a lot more like 20 than 21 Imo. But it’s still not as good.

I will probably pick up 22 just to see how it plays but I’m so invested in my Braves year three franchise that I will pretty much only play 20 unless something on 22 blows my mind.

I will say this playing 20 on the ps5 is absolutely amazing the game looks just as good if not better than 21 and the beta test in 22 doesn’t look any better than 20.

I have such amazing franchises going. Deep storylines, the very best Collection of classic rosters ever assembled for a console sports baseball game, incredible gameplay…..it’s all there.

And the gameplay is key because I did not like 21’s and 22’s felt like a lot of the same in hitting department….something fundamentally changed for directional hitters like myself that simply feels very unbalanced and off kilter.

Glad to see they did some work on presentation….bit I have all I can ever want on 20.

Wife picked me up MLBTS21 at Best it for 10 bucks this weekend. She didn’t know I wouldn’t want it. I installed It, played 2 games with JoshC’s sliders and said, “nope”. The hitting being jacked up for directional hitters is real…it’s awful and the sound of the crack of the bat isn’t good either. Can’t do it…….game just isn’t a big enough improvement to break up w/MLBTS20.

This is probably a question that’s been asked 100x through this thread but how do these sliders work on ‘21? Still applicable or have there been consensus changes to a few things?
