Hey Armor,

I am really digging the injury matrix idea. Just one more thing to add to the immersion/realism of our franchises.

I came up with another idea (assuming I am right about this).

Wind - it greatly effects HR's and power in this game, right?

What if we did a dice roll in the middle of the 5th inning to adjust wind mid-game? After all, weather can certainly change over the course of a real 3 hour baseball game.

So assuming that if you adjust the wind during a game it will change the power of the wind real-time i was thinking this....

Before the bottom of the 5th, do a 1-10 dice roll. If it comes out 1-3 the user moves the wind slider down to 2. If the user rolls 4 thru 7 the wind slider stays at 5, BUT if the user rolls 8-10 the wind slider moves to 8.

Thoughts?

Which updated off-season roster is best? mcnulty or ranger fan? I want to start a 2021 season but not sure what roster people like more. Thanks and happy opening day!

It took me 13+ hours a couple of days ago, but I was able to add all the songs for all 30 teams (not individual walk up songs, but all the team songs.
Wins, losses, pitching changes, walks, sb's, caught stealing, HR's, mid 1st, 2nd 3rd, end 4th, 5th, 6th etc.)

I don't think I could do batter walk up songs...that may take a month. You are talking at a minimum, 42 position players per team x's by 30 teams. That's too much for me.

What I did was a game changer for my franchise, and was worth the time invested to do it.

Here's what I suggest and have done which cuts time in the short term. Before each series you play on the road, only do the players on the MLB teams roster. Ie. if you are the Twins do theirs before you start the season of course since you will be playing tons of games with them. Let's then say you play the Brewers on the road. Before game 1 of the series add all of their walkups/entrances to your PS. Edit the music. Then for each of their MLB players assign the music. It probably takes 20 to 30 mins once you get in a rhythm. Of course there are going to be injuries to players so you can always check if there are any good players on the IL who will maybe return later in the year if you play that team on the road again. You can then assign theirs. Also, if you play the team later in the year you will just want to make sure that anyone they called up has music assigned.

Ultimately what I've found is this allows you to spend the 20 to 30 minutes and get going on your games. In the long run you will still end up spending a lot of time adding music but it won't feel like it. It just breaks up that time rather than doing tons of hours straight of doing music when all you really want to do is play the game. I do this same style with the team music too. Of course it's totally your preference but just wanted to throw that out there to you if you like that idea.

He just uploaded Opening Week version.

This is the one you want. Do not let the ratings jar you. Just go with it. It is really excellent.

It is perfectly tuned for this slider set.

So with the Franchise stream today; what is the poll on Armor changing his mind and getting 21? I hope yes, but they didn’t answer any Y2Y info or rosters that we were hoping for.

I’d say it’s still a no. The improvements they made is good, but it’s not worth a day one purchase.

I like the logic updates they are doing. This was much needed in terms of trades, prospects etc.

But it was a shallow stream for me.

Nothing about lineup or bullpen management.

We still have 90 man rosters (for now).

Again nothing there that would make me abandon not only my beloved Yankees franchise bit again for me the roster community content is simply divine and gives 20 incredible long term replay-ability.

Simple as that. Too much fantastic content that will not (has not been confirmed of course but I think we can figure it out) be importable to the PS5 version of this game.

And that is the version you would want with the stadium creator that will make old school parks a reality for classic roster junkies like myself.

And of course Bacons Roster will take IMO 4-5 months easy to recreate for 21 and again....we have not confirmation anything created on 21 will move to 22.

So no.....we are passing on 21 at release and I see picking it up late in the cycle.

If we see some great classic rosters start to emerge that in combination with old school parks can be played...yeah we can be down with that later in the year.

So MLB 20 is where I will be staying until further.

The complainers are all over the gen threads. Some of my thoughts.

1. I think this should lay to bed any chance that franchise mode is going away soon. They said there was a lot of work done to lay the foundation of what and where they want to go with franchise. Seems like they spend some time on this. It looks like we can expect a lot of good things in 2022 and beyond.

2. I wish they would have explained why Y2Y was taken out. It would have eased some minds explaining why it was taken out. Instead of leaving people guessing and not knowing if it will return. They might bring those people back on board if they would say why they had to remove it and if it would be back next year. So you could carry over your new season to next year.

3. I do love the trade system. I love the traits that you can target, target players, and have untouchables. I lie the new attributes and logic. So hopefully it runs smooth. They did say they simmed several years.

4. I like the minor league stats now. Still don’t know if we can do 6 man rotations. On the depth chart, they had 6 pitchers in the rotation.

Aaaaannnnd I'm out. haven't seen the stream yet, but no roster expansion or revamped progression/regression means no MLB 21 for me.

Custom stadiums would be nice for spring training, but it's not enough to make me give up on my beloved 2014 carry over Jays, especially at full price.

yeah, if franchise was dead they sure as hell wouldn't bother changing it and killing y2y in the process. that would make zero sense

I don't think there are 6 man rotations, it looks more like that is showing your next best option if there's an injury or trade

I am with you. I liked some things I saw and hopefully we see more and more as we move forward in the PS5 cycle.

I am sure I will enjoy the game later on in the cycle.

But it will take roster content to get me to budge. And that will take a long time during the cycle. The roster community is starting over from scratch.
