Great feedback.

Pirates are not in contention (15 back in central and 8.5 back in wild card, as of June 19th).

Paxton is on last year of $12M deal.

I could replace Paxton with Jordan Montgomery (80 OVR), who is on final year of $805K deal (ARB ‘21-‘23).

Thoughts there?

Montgomery makes more sense. Younger and cheaper.

I have a quick question on SOTS. I’m loading the yells and jeers to the game. Now if I put stuff in the Yell-Jeer and Chant-Jeer spot, does that play in my ballpark or does that play in the visitors ballpark when I play them?

Like I noticed the Dodgers has Beat LA. Obviously you won’t hear that in Dodger Stadium. So if I put like organ music in that spot, would that also just be for away games?

Jeer Chants and Jeer Yells you would hear in the opposing teams ball park.

So if you want "Beat LA" you can assign that for your home series against the Dodgers in the Chant Yell or Chant Cheer slot.

I do that for series vs the Red Sox both home and away. Yankees Suck and Red Sox Sucks.....get’s hostile man!!!

Meant to ask because I never really carried anything over from PS4 other than the game itself and my user profile - how's SOTS working for you on PS5 Armor?

I have to say I have never done this. But listening to you guys it seems amazing. Is it hard to do? Does someone have downloaded ones ready to go?

It is simple. Go to the Sounds of the Show page.
They are working on 2021 sounds now so they don’t have all the teams yet. So go to the 2nd page and go to LowlightHabbit and BU1B22 2020 SOTS page. They have all the sounds by team. So go to your team and download the spreadsheet. You have to use a flash drive or usb card. There are further instructions on that page. Here are some basic instructions once you have the music on the drive. Go to the Sounds of the show in game.

1. You upload the music
2. Go to playlist and add the walk up songs, Hit, HR, RBI, etc to music. Chants you would click the chants box.
3. Go to manage files and you will see the files. Most have 3 songs on one file. Here is where you will put the starting points in. Song 1 would start at 0:00, song 2 usually starts at 2:30, and song 3 starts at 5:00 usually.
4. Go to your team and you can select the files. It will give you a choice if you want to use 1,2, or 3.

Same exact method I have employed for years.

I can’t play The Show without it anymore. It adds an incredible layer of immersion and realism that cannot be expressed in words. You just have to experience it for yourself.

Once you do....you will never go back to playing this game without them.

Yep, agreed. Step 3 can be time consuming waiting for the songs to load to find songs 2 and 3. And then loading the players can be time consuming as well. Just a lot of clicking.

So what do people use for pregame? Do you use the pregame music or like the nbc sportscast intro?

Hey Armor,

I am really digging the injury matrix idea. Just one more thing to add to the immersion/realism of our franchises.

I came up with another idea (assuming I am right about this).

Wind - it greatly effects HR's and power in this game, right?

What if we did a dice roll in the middle of the 5th inning to adjust wind mid-game? After all, weather can certainly change over the course of a real 3 hour baseball game.

So assuming that if you adjust the wind during a game it will change the power of the wind real-time i was thinking this....

Before the bottom of the 5th, do a 1-10 dice roll. If it comes out 1-3 the user moves the wind slider down to 2. If the user rolls 4 thru 7 the wind slider stays at 5, BUT if the user rolls 8-10 the wind slider moves to 8.

Thoughts?

It took me 13+ hours a couple of days ago, but I was able to add all the songs for all 30 teams (not individual walk up songs, but all the team songs.
Wins, losses, pitching changes, walks, sb's, caught stealing, HR's, mid 1st, 2nd 3rd, end 4th, 5th, 6th etc.)

I don't think I could do batter walk up songs...that may take a month. You are talking at a minimum, 42 position players per team x's by 30 teams. That's too much for me.

What I did was a game changer for my franchise, and was worth the time invested to do it.

It does take a while for the walk ups. Even longer for the pitcher entry songs. They are very long. You could even do your own team’s batter walk up songs.
