It’ll be hard for them to top ‘20 as far as gameplay goes. And until they do I’m sticking with single seasons and fictional rosters on ‘20.

I know I have said many times, but with each passing year it has become more and more apparent that MLB 20 was:

      #theendofanera

I fully respect anyone who has moved on from 20 and loves the newer versions……play what you love.

And if you love fictional rosters Bleacher you owe it to yourself to also go grab Volfan39’s fictional roster from MLB 19’s vault!!!!

Another work of art from tue man who brought us the legendary Statis-Pro 1980’s roster.

Wow Quite an accomplishment. How do you decide which game to play ? One per series ?

I’ve had this question on the main forum Q&A thread for a time with no responses so I thought I would try here. I realize this is ‘off topic’ but you folks have a nice community here so I thought I’d ask.

I have 23 and have been keeping up with the patches but have not started a franchise yet as I am finishing up a 22 season. I have heard that the hitting view I use, The Show 15, is no longer available. Of the remaining views which is the most similar?

(Catcher Near) is the MLB 15 view, they just renamed it.

Hey Dowie, how do you handle injuries for your single season play throughs? I’ve wanted to fire up some historical MLBTS 20 franchises but like the immersion of a fully built out minor leagues. Are the single season rosters on OP mostly filler players in the minors?

For historical single season play I ONLY play with the 26-man MLB rosters.

I use 30-team control WITH roster control on.

User Profile and CPU Profile have everything set to manual WITH injuries off.

I don't do waiver claims or trades and make sure injury slider is 0 and trade slider is 0 (just in case)

                      Does that help?

I had to swallow my pride and move pitch speeds down to 8/8. Just wasn’t generating enough offense with my Yankees and Phillies. I’m still challenged to catch up to 95+, but getting a few more hits. I use MLB the Show 15 batting view. Sucks getting older!!

I am on 9/9 and that is my wheelhouse.

You gotta do what gives you a fair but fun challenge.

There’s no right or wrong value for this slider. Whatever people are comfy with is the way to go. Currently in the middle of my first full season at 9/9 and I love it. I struggle mightily at times especially against pitchers with a high 90’s fastball but once you get that timing down it’s quite a rewarding experience.

You list vibration as off but talk about the vibration of the pitches near or out of the strike zone. The only animation I use is the pitching ball marker. I’m interested in going completely clean screen but I don’t know how to approach pitching without the pitching ball marker on.

I relied on the ball marker for many years until I dove in and tried to play w/o it. The learning curve isn't as long as you might think.

After a few dozen games you'll be dialed in and never look back.
