Anyone else feel like Hall Of Fame pitching is too easy? Use Armors exact sliders on classic pitching. I’ll admit I haven’t tried it against a powerhouse lineup like the Dodgers or Astros yet but the CPU offense doesn’t really feel like a threat at all unless my pitching is mid 70’s OVR or lower. Wouldn’t say I’m just great at the game, most of the time I follow the catcher’s call so I’m not dominating by mostly doing my own thing.

I’m using the Yankees with no Severino. So not bad pitching but not exactly like using the Nationals with their 2 or 3 aces in the rotation. I don’t have that big of a sample size on hall of fame pitching, usually use Legend and I can win but it feels too hard pitching so wanted to try this set the exact way it’s meant to be, on hall of fame. So does anyone think I should just give it more time?

Here i go again , i honestly thought that i was done testing and Legend was the only option left for me . But yet again i went back to HOF for a few games today cus i wanted test CPU pitcher Strike Fre and if that could help.


So the last 5 games including this 1 im testing Power 4, Timing 4, Solid hits 4 , USER Foul Fre 4 , CPU pitch control 6 , CPU pitch consistency 6 and CPU Strike Fre 4 . And the games have been good , this game in particular was very good and i really struggled to get anything going . Anthony DeSclafani was pitching great hitting his spots and just smart pitching with no meatballs down the middle. But that all got ruined as the game went on and then came the meatballs , and i ended up hitting yet another 3 homers late on in this game.

I just really dont know what to change , i have tried sooo many settings and please dont say up the pitch speed. That is not the problem or solution for this , 7/6 is the perfect setting for me and challenging , and this video clearly shows that . It just seems that anytime i get a hold of a pitch down the middle and make contact its ALWAYS A HOMER no matter who the batter is , i mean i already have 2 homers with Joe Panik in just 6 at bats . Again Perfect examples here are Joe Panik's and Rowdy's 2 bombs

Swept the first series in Baltimore, but wondering if I should lower power and maybe timing.

Here's the scores with the number of home runs for each team per game:

Game 1: 10-7 - Yankees 5, Orioles 2
Game 2: 8-6 - Yankees 4, Orioles 2
Game 3: 11-8 - Yankees 3, Orioles 6

I have been following these sliders for 8-9 years, so I'm obviously aware of the sample size concept. However, you wouldn't let those kinds of results run for 120+ games. Even a month of games with similar results would be too much. I probably won't make the move just yet, but will consider strongly if I don't see a decrease in power over the next series or two.

Thoughts? How long would you let it ride if nothing changes? There's a difference between being "hot" and genuinely needing to make a slider adjustment, and I feel like this may be a case of that.

I only have 23 doubles tho. It’s either a single or home run. Lol

I guess looking at my stats they really aren’t too bad.

I just played a 4 game series vs the Phillies. Scored 35 runs in the 4 games.

Not at all. This is simply the best, most balanced hitting I have ever played on any baseball game......ever.

The variety is incredible.

The sample size of playing 162 games will be excellent.

I have to concur with Armor. Probably the favourite part of hitting for me this year has been the ball JUST getting over the fielders head. Think you will lose a lot of that if you put solid hits down to 4.

Game is great, just the little things before today kept me from playing a full game, I had the game since the Friday after the standard version released, always have used armor's sliders for every game(!), finally played a full game

While I cant wait till we can manually throw again. Just played my first game with the auto/auto setup..the game was intense! There were a couple plays at the plate and it felt like i was watching a game anticipating what was about to happen!

1 in particular in the 8th inning, Rowan Wick gave up a single to Center and Yadier Molina was on second. Watching Ian Happ throw home and it ended up being real close but Molina beat the tag i was on the edge of my seat. Ended up losing 4-3 to the hated Cards!

After losing opening day 1-0 against Mil we won 8 in a row. Offense was on fire, against Pittsburgh we scored 9, 7 and 16 runs during those 3 games.

Came down to earth a bit since, i believe im sitting at 11-5 right now. This weekend i will start the 2 game set against Baltimore. Taking me a bit longer to progress, before each series i have been putting in pitch edits for the cpu teams.

Rizzo is leading my team in HR (4) and RBI (15). KB, Baez are both close to those numbers though.
I will say off the bench Souza had been outstanding, he is hitting .350 with a couple bombs.

Starting pitching has been decent, but man the bullpen for me has been awful! With the exception of Jeffress, every loss i have had was a choke show from the pen! Need to make some moves in that department!

The front page is the most up to date and I will upload that version as well as a classic roster version to the vault.

For our classic roster version (60’s,70’s,80’s and 90’s baseball) we have slight tweaks to pitcher stamina and CPU hook because back then....there was none of this 5 and fly BS. Starters were far more like horses who were innings eaters and managers (other than LaRussa) were not quick to pull guys all game.

The players ratings on the classic rosters play wonderfully and it is more of a deadball game style. No hitting sliders need to be adjusted at all. It is pretty awesome to see and feel the contrast of the game style using classic rosters vs modern day.

SDS nailed it! And our fantastic classic roster community has nailed it as always.

Stay tuned for the classic roster slider updates being added to the OP on the boot of the page. There are only a few adjustments to make to the OP where everything else stays exactly the same.

This game is totally rocking it out of the park. I love the small things like the little pop up stats. This last game it popped up saying Austin Riley has 26 strikeouts, 7th in the NL. Everything is just so smooth. No more patches needed in my opinion. Sliders are perfect.

The only thing I wish is that we had more sounds of the show options. Like if a team has 3 different strikeout songs I could use all 3. Last year it rotated theme 1 and 2 often so the music was changing. But now with only 2 themes we have limited choices. And the MLB network isn’t very often.

Very minor though but this game is by far the greatest yet. Thanks, Armor for making it better for us.

I would love to utilize Sounds of the Show.

I downloaded some files posted in that forum, but it seems like it would take a lot of work to set everything up.

For some reason I assumed I could load the files for my team and I’d be all set but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I just don’t have the patience to set everything up.
