It is a half baked implementation but at least it was a start.

If you want to make them the Expos or some other fictional name, I would suggest using a classic park or a minor league park.

I personally have a hard time getting immersed in it with the previous teams logos and name everywhere. So I found it to be a null and void feature for me. There are those who have really taken to it and are having a lot of fun.

Whatever allows you to enjoy the game......I am all for it. Hopefully they will expand upon the feature on the PS5 and add a bunch of generic parks you can customize much like the NHL series and NBA 2K series have done in allowing you to create your own arena from scratch and brand it any way you want for your expansion/relocation team.

I truly also hope the team expands Franchise mode to include a customization suite like NBA 2K’s My league mode. That would allow us to really make and shape our baseball franchises to our hearts desire.

I was literally asking a similar question to someone else then saw this post after I posted my question. Do all the classic parks have previous team logos and how does the commentary handle it?

Not all of them but the most recent classic stadiums do. Like if you wanted to do the Expos the only domed stadium is the metrodome and has Twins stuff plastered everywhere. I tried to do a rebranded team myself but just couldn't get into it do to these issues. I have since restarted and just going to roll with the normal Marlins

Interesting. I was thinking maybe use a stadium without logos, but then thought the announcers will commentate on whatever city and team the stadium is/was for.

There are a few without logos just not any I liked or made sence for my team. I was going for a team in Indiana. The minor league stadiums didn't do it for me either given how small they are with only like 15k fans max. Just didn't feel right for me. Even though I am rebuilding the Marlins and only get 13k fans lmao

Yeah I just wanna relocate the Rays badly. Tropicana Field is a dump and hard to look at even on a videogame. You wouldn't think it would have been that hard to add a few generic stadiums until they can add a full on stadium builder next gen (hopefully).

This is just killed the moving a team elsewhere project for me . It was just disappointing to see that there was no stadium customization options or even a simple rename option for the current and old stadiums . And then the older stadiums have the logos of the team's that used to play there and if you don't like that you can pick a minor league stadium that has only like 10000 capacity and that is just not exciting enough for me . Even some random generic made up stadiums would have been nice , but either way that just seems really lazy . Let's add options for relocating and creating new teams but no stadiums to play in lol I'm sure for Ps5 this will change though and I can wait till then .

Man this year, the game really makes you feel like you're killing it and playing too well in franchise....and then BAM.

I just got hit with a horrible stretch of games, only won 2 games in 10, and my bats just went absolutely cold.

Rode thru those games thinking damn was there a secret patch I downloaded? The sliders get messed up? No it's just how Baseball is.

Made me love 20 even more going thru that stretch, seriously the game plays great if you stick with sliders that are working for you.

Stop worrying about adjusting after 2 or 3 games that dont play the way you "think" they should.

Well Armor was right and I already have to take back what I was saying about hall of fame pitching. 3 game series @ Oakland and got lit up for 7 runs in game 1, 6 runs in game 2, and 8 runs in game 3. My starters were Montgomery, Happ, and Cole. The beating they gave Cole really surprised me. Was able to out slug them in the first one winning 8-7 then 10-6 in extra innings but lost the last one 8-5.

Play 3 @ Texas next so I’ll finally get to face some real starting pitching vs Kluber and Lynn for the first time since that one game this season vs Charlie Morton.

I had some incredibly fun games today.

First off, another heartbreaking loss for the Marlins. But an incredible play occurred.

For the very first time I saw a triple play. It was turned on me by The Nationals.

I had first and second and Dickerson hit a hard ground ball to Asdrubal Cabrera who tagged Villar as he ran by him, flipped it to Kendricks at second who then fired a bullet to first.

Wow.

Then in my Yankees year 4 we had a wild last game of our 4 game set with the Tigers.

Needless to say we blew a save opportunity in the bottom of the 9th but ended up winning by 3 in the 10th.

But how we got to that blown save chance was incredible.

Down two runs Trea Turner came to the plate with two on vs their closer Tyler Clippard (who may get DFA after this outing lol). I sat on a hanging changeup and absolutely destroyed it for a monster 3R HR to give us the lead.

Guys.....this game is damn near perfect. I mean wow....I play multiple games everyday.....and when I am not playing, all I do is think about the game and playing.

It’s crazy.

What a game SDS gave us!!!

Are you’d seeing enough injuries for CPU teams in simulated games at 6?

I am nearly 2 weeks into franchise and only count 7 total injuries in non user games.

I played 6 games in my Braves franchise today. I can't stop playing this amazing game. All 6 games were something different I won the first 5 and was scoring runs at will than the 6th game I got one hit. Lol

All I want to do is play the Show. Lmao I am in Baseball heaven with this game.

It really is an absolutely amazing game. Damn shame that other sports games do not follow suit.

Today I played 3 games with the API and vibration completely off and let me tell you, it really opened up the pitching for me in a great and challenging way. I had a tendency to always throw the pitch the catcher called and never really called my own game. This has taken the game to another level of fun for me.

I had lots of fun on my opening day game with my Reds against the Cards, but I may have a “concern”. I play on HOF with Armour’s sliders with pitch speed at 9/8. I faced 56 fastballs and was late on 28 of them (early on 4) so I think these speeds are good for me.

Scoring:

- Goldschmidt and DeJong go back to back in the 4th
- Akiyama hits a 2-run shot in the 7th to tie it up
- Goldschmidt hits a 2-run shot (453 feet) in the 8th
- Markakis and Castellanos go back to back with 2 out in the 9th
- Castellanos hits a walk-off on the first pitch he sees in the 12th.

In total the Cards had 11 hits and I had 13 but every run was scored via the homer. I love hitting homers don’t get me wrong, but hope this balances out over time

I’m back from my hiatus, hopefully with a refreshed, not so cynical attitude. I’m just going to roll with it. If I hit 400 homers, I hit 400 homers. If I am last in the league in strikeouts, I’m last in the league in strikeouts.

With that being said, I’m going to do my best to pitch better. I’m even going to start keeping my own notes of who I strike out and how.

Speaking of which, how much do you guys think the hot and cold zones play a factor? Since we’re clean screeners, we don’t see it. I’d like to know where to pitch certain guys. Do you all think it’s beneficial to pitch guys in their cold zones?

It is to a degree, I mean a fat pitch that gets squared up isn't going to really matter hot or cold. You could turn preview on, where the hot/cold zones only show up before you throw the first pitch of an AB.

Personally I never pay attention to them, how they're playing that day/Who they are/How my pitches are working/Umps zone determines how I attack someone. My pitching coach always told us pitch to your strengths not the hitter's weaknesses.

Also 2 things not related to that I wanted to say.

1st: To everyone not having success getting CPU guys to chase. Make sure you're showing the pitch you're trying to get them to chase as a strike first. If you haven't thrown the pitch for a strike to them they are far less likely to chase it as a ball.

2nd: Who else thinks this would be awesome?
