What rosters do you use?

Mkharsh33s latest update to Ridings roster.

I mean they did basically no re rates to the players but at least everyone is there. I’m waiting in Roverts roster because I like his ratings of the players better.

So no 4-0 start to the season for the Phillies. David Robertson blew a 5-2 lead in the 7th giving up 4 runs to the lowly Marlins. We had the tying run on 2nd base with no outs in both the bottom of the 8th and 9th and couldn't drive him in.

Phillies head to New York to take on the Mets with a record of 3-1.

We walked 27 times in the series and scored 27 runs which is nice to see. We also struck out 35 times in the series which is not so good.

Some pretty big injuries throughout the league in the first week of the season. Big blows for a few teams.

The Twins lost Miguel Sano with a broken shin. (Injured in Spring Training)

The Tigers lost Jonathan Schoop with a broken leg.

The White Sox lost Lucas Giolito with a torn labrum.

The Nationals lost Trea Turner with a fractured wrist.

Here's the big one. New Dodgers acquisition Mookie Betts is lost with a broken shin. HUGE blow for the Dodgers.

I use the vibration to feel that i am at the edge of the zone and sometimes too push a little further out. When i had it off I would leave pitches out over the plate trying to paint the corner or pitch just out of the zone. With the Vibration i can feel that I am there and sometimes push a little further off to see if I can get a swing on a pitch out of the zone.

I downloaded his v8.5 and think I’m going with that as well. I don’t know why I’m struggling to decide on a roster this year (always Armour’s sliders). I just want to pick a roster and play, but obviously get realistic outcomes as well. I like that Armour’s sliders are very close to default and you can use them for both simmed games and played games.

Started with winning 3 random games, have gotten dominated the last 2 by the Tigers and Orioles/Means

Years ago, I played the game with vibration on. I couldn't get any walks, I couldn't strike out any batters...

I got tired of that stupid heart beat thing for Challenge of the Week (it was literally making my fingers feel numb), so I turned off vibration to get rid of that. I went into an actual game with it off and it was transformative for me. I finally realized that the stupid strike zone vibration was causing my pitching issues. That "barrier" was forcing me back into the strike zone too often...I wasn't throwing enough pitches out of the zone and was getting too many borderline calls in my favor.

I've never gone back to having vibration on since then....

You've definitely piqued my curiosity. Gonna give it try in some games.

Lately I've loved playing with commentary off and cameras on dynamic rather than broadcast. Gives it a much more raw baseball feel and feels like you're there at the game, rather than watching on TV.

Anyone else play like this or do you prefer it feeling like it's a TV broadcast?

Not a slider question but this is the only thread I follow. I’ve used 30-team control for several years now but gave never dealt with stuff like sponsorships for my team or any of the cpu teams. I basically load Armour’s sliders, choose a roster, set lineups and rotations and play. How big of a deal is sponsorships? Do the cpu controlled teams handle them automatically? Do I have to do anything? Is it okay to simply ignore all this front office stuff?

Burgess you can completely ignore sponsorships for all 30 teams if you do not want to handle it. The CPU does not handle sponsors at all. You would have to assign them for each team (which is really easy BTW and I simply decided based on market size if they got silver, gold, diamond etc) SO teams like the NYY, Mets, Red Sox, Cubs, Dodgers etc....big market and well supported teams would get at least two diamond sponsors and a gold.

The other extreme was a small market teams or “money ball" like the Rays, A’s, Marlins who are penny pinchers, get two silvers and one gold.

So Idid my own “competitive revenue” sharing technique using the sponsors. The cool thing is all my sponsors from MLBTS17 have been carried forward each year....as I acquired new sponsors that could replace what I had in place I have used them. SO far on 20 I am very early in the “collection phase” of sponsorships so nothing has been replaced.

In my new franchises (Fictional Twins and Miami Marlins) I have not assigned sponsors to any teams yet because I simply do not have the inventory yet. I probably ill have all I need to do my market size/team budget method by June/July.

This is a new one for 2020. I scrapped the carry-over I was going to do. Couldn't get into the second season with the few games I played.
