Moved up to your sliders.. there Great of course... Question is do you recommend I use the Fielder reaction - 4 , & Fielder speed - 4 or should I use 5 like the first page.. Where are your thoughts on these 2 settings currently?

Hey Armor,

Not trying to clutter the thread. Are these going to be posted to the vault once they are official? Also, could they work with metered pitching? I've been trying classic but just can't get the hang of it. Other than that I love the clean screen approach. So much more fun and rewarding.

Great sliders as always, Armor. I am simply amazed at how close to default works! Most impressed with the solid hits being more real than ever at default. I have one question though a little off topic ...Are the sliders fully 'in effect' during Spring Training games?...I normally do not play Spring Training but I am this year so I'm looking for some thoughts from folks that normally play Spring Training games. After two games I am hitting the ball better than I ever have and pitching great with anyone that steps on the mound. It has been unreal! I know sample size..I'm not looking to change anything at all. But is this just a case of starting hot or a case of the game not playing to HOF because it's Spring Training?

What’s the thought on fielder speed and reaction being bumped down to 4? I usually consider this if I’m not seeing enough balls get down in the outfield. It definitely has not been the case this year. And I can sell a distinct difference between running a ball down with Albert Almora compared to Kyle Schwarber.

I was using default for the longest but tried 4/4 and it works even better tbh. I am using Armors sliders with a cpl tweaks that work for me.

Putting them at 4 and 4 make the elite guys stand out more. I agree with you on default it is damn good and you see a difference but at 4 and 4 you can tell a difference between good and great.

So you are not seeing more hits or doubles than at 5/5? Are you still seeing realistic dive attempts. Dive attempts this year and balls dropping in front of fielder seem more organic this year.

one thing i've learned in my 47 years on this planet: feelings and opinions, though different from mine, are never "wrong" - they're just different, and i don't get to be the one who says that someone else's thoughts are invalidated.

i get it - you're a pillar here. but people like me (who are probably in that group you're alluding to here) are seeing some things differently following the 1.04 game update. i read ALL slider threads because i like to see the ideas others have and what they're seeing. i appreciate your efforts here. but a post like this one above only sets people apart as king of the mountain, and it's a mountain to play a video game on. i just didn't like the tone of this and making it look like you have all the answers and we're just living in your world... thanks.

All do respect sir you probably have spot on opinions about this game before and after the patch. But the main forums have a bunch of people who all they want to do is bash every game after every patch just to do it.

Most of the people on this thread play the game and entirely different way than most of the people who play the show.

I mean there are people on this thread that have different opinions and are having different results and most of us play the same way on this thread.

Forgive us on this thread for trying to stay positive yes this game has its bugs and its flaws but most of us focus on the awesome things this game offers. That's totally opposite from the main forums that mostly point out the negative

We have highly constructive discussions in this thread about how we are seeing things in the game. And we have highly mature conversations about it. And looking for solutions. But in the end I nor anyone else can play the game for you.

What you get in the general forums is far too much hyperbole, immaturity and flat out hysteria.......about a video game. It get’s so negative that it is almost impossible to weed through all the viral. In no way was this post directed at you or many long time guys in OS. It is more aimed at the hit and run BS posters who simply throw out blanket statements and assumptions about the game.....and also there are some long time trolls in the general forum who will go nameless that simply have “look at me” posts constantly bashing the game....yet they buy it every year without fail.....the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

So I am trying to wrap my head around your take on who I am, who I think I may be and how incredibly off base and dead wrong you are in your assessment of my statement and really what kind of person I am. Many here have had chances to chat with me, play online with me....they know who I really am.

I have no attitude that all I say is all high and mighty. That all I do is touch objects and they turn to gold.

And I am no pillar here. I am just a guy who plays sports games, shares my excitement about them, shares my approach to them and shares positive vibes as much as I can in a world that has become so toxic with entitlement and negativity it is beyond belief. I am also a musician. Art is purely subjective. As is video games. It is all subjective.....not fact based. Opinions will vary wildly. I respect well thought out opinions. I do not respect click bait BS internet crap. And we get a lot of that here these days.

Again. Please stay safe and healthy and I hope you and your family prosper. I seriously do not take this stuff seriously. I use it as an escape so we can forget about the harsh realities we face in the real world each day.

So excuse me for giving some advice to those that approach the game like I do to block out the panic and fear about a game.....a freaking video game being broken. Because the longer you keep reading the BS hyperbole the more it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

Well said, Armor.

I am really going to try to do what you do with a team this year. I’ll play a couple 162 game seasons with a few teams but never carry over. If I did that, I would never have to worry about waiting for rosters to come out because I would have my own baseball world the next season.

I might just do that this year.
