Yeah playing on legend now , I think that maybe putting the cpu's pitchers consistency and control might help . Just seems that they throw down the middle far too often to me . That's what I'm noticing anyway . I'll see how legend goes for now , and if I was the playing as the Yanks or Astros this all wouldn't bother me at all , but I'm the Jays and have 60+ homers with 200+ runs in just 30 games is a bit much and to unrealistic for my liking .

The Twins hit 53 in their first 30 games last year

And they were up to 114 after 60 games....(that game 31-60 stretch representing 61 HRs in 30 games)

So, yeah, it's high...but it's not absurdly high if you look at it statistically...the Twins winding-up with an average of 1.9 per game over all 162.

That said, if one feels like they aren't being challenged to their liking, then they need to do something, whether it be upping difficulty, changing camera angle, or other means.

That said, if one feels like they aren't being challenged to their liking, then they need to do something, whether it be upping difficulty, changing camera angle, or other means.

I always try to look at things from what I call my, "realm of believability." In other words, could what's happening in my game actually happen. If the answer is yes, I rarely make an adjustment. Each year I lead the league in fewest walks issued, but its usually by less than 100. To me it's believable. Same goes for home runs. I did a little research and last season 15 teams set new franchise records for most home runs as a team. Half the league, which is quite remarkable. Perhaps MLB had juiced balls as many pitchers pointed out, I wouldn't be surprised by that at all. But an up-tick in homers doesn't necessarily mean we need to make knee-jerk reactions to sliders on the game.

The Twins set a new record in 2019 with 307 home runs as a team. Given, I do typically agree the AL team should hold this record, but I suppose it's possible that they might not. The current record for an NL team is now the Los Angeles Dodgers, who also broke the team homer record for the NL in 2019 with 279.

I usually use these as my barometer. If I'm hitting 400 homers as a team, that's outside what I'd probably consider my realm of believability. However, if I set a new record and hit, 290 or even 300 with the Cubs... is it, "possible?" Yes. So in my mind, no adjustment would be necessary.

Same goes for the individual record. Is it possible someone hits more than 73? Yeah, but if they're hitting 110, it probably needs to be adjusted. I'm as bad as anyone in regards to wanting perfect stats. And I see people all the time say, "it's a video game, it will never be perfect." I personally don't like that mindset because I think it limits what we expect. I look back to the days of RBI Baseball on the original Nintendo, and obviously, we've come a long way. And The Show is as close to perfect of a baseball simulation I've ever played.

I am 20 games into my franchise but saw there was a new roster released that fixed minor league options.

Can’t decide ifI should restart, or just keep going.

I would restart. The minors options are a game killer long term for your franchise.

I believe the biggest issue with this game currently is the meatball pitches on both sides of you raise pitch consistency you will see a difference. I have solid hits on 4 for both and pitch consistency at 7 for both. Everything else at default. I do use analog hitting instead of directional just feels more real for me.

pitcher consistany to 6 and power to 4 and timing at 4 cut down home run Darby games and turned them into 2-1 and 6-2 games with only 1 or 2 homers

there are way to many on default just a tip.

I've played 5 games since the switch to those sliders. I've won 3 games of 5-3, 6-4, 3-2 and I've lost 2 games 7-1 and 6-4. One game I did still give up 3 homeruns but other than that they've all been 1 or 2 on both sides. I still drew at least 3 walks in all but one of those games also and the one I didn't was against Gerrit Cole.

I was thinking of trying to up pitch consistency , curious how many games do u have played with it at 7 and what do ur pitchers numbers look like ?

Yes. Anything possible on zone is just as possible on directional.

There is plenty of hit variety. I've gotten hits and HRs on high pitches low pitches you name it.
