Armour, I follow your exact sliders, but I think you should try pitch speeds at 8/7. Seems to be a fair challenge

I started playing default HOF and was hitting way too many homeruns.

Now, I am playing default HOF with these adjustments:

Fastball Pitch Speed: 6
Breaking Ball Pitch Speed: 5
Hum / CPU Pitch Control: 6
Hum / CPU Foul Frequency: 3

My homeruns are down after making these adjustment. I still get plenty of walks and strikeouts.
I plan on running these settings for another 10 games. I already played 10 and they have been giving me great results.
Ace pitchers really paint the corners. Last game, CPU pitcher walked me 3x and struck me out 9.

Just wanted to share my experience and data. So far, these adjustments have been spot on for me.
Pitch speed is preference, you need to find the right setting as that is critical.

We are still in the data gathering phase!

I will be playing a lot of test games with my first set of true tweaks in my test franchise this weekend beginning tonight!

Any guys find a set up to decrease all these homers ? I've got 30 games played so far , 15 with power on default 5 and solid hits 4 , pitch speed always 8 and 10 , then the last 15 games played with power on 4 and solid hits 4 and still hitting 3 homers on avg per game with the Jays . Today I'm going to legend and see how that goes , I'm just curious what others are doing to combat this problem of all these homers . Teoscar Hernandez has 15 homers and over 30 rbis now in 30 games ! Hitting over 350. Slugging over .750 and OPS above 1.200. It's just getting so unrealistic and its like a arcade game now

Move up to Legend. I really do not know what to tell you.

I am not having these "power issues" playing on HOF default with pitch speeds at 7/6 fastball off speed respectively.

Im seeing a lot of homers and meat balls as well. Thats the only issue i see.

I am going to make a general statement here. A lot of us have been playing this game a very long time. Case and point:

I started on Veteran back on MLB 2009 with hitting. I used to make hybrid sliders with veteran hitting and all-star pitching. It stayed that way till MLB 13. Then I went straight AS level.

Then on MLB 17 we made the move to HOF hitting and AS pitching....then we finally mid season went straight HOF.

We are all going to get better. Maybe you need to move up to Legend and start there.

I am not experiencing arcade like power.......I am having a blast.

I will have a killer HOF slider set out soon.....but keep in mind....it is based on my playing skill level. Not yours.

Tweak from there.

Fair point. Ive been playing since mlb started. Seems a little easier this year ootb.

Yeah it's just sucks cus In the Show 19 I had the perfect and fair challenge after moving up pitch speeds. But here it's just all easier and HOF hitting just does not resemble the HOF hitting I was experiencing in 19 . Pitching for user is on point , but hitting is just another story . I don't know what's going on

Yeah and seems that San Diego studios took that to another level with this game . They for sure took that into consideration and I think they overdid it with the power this year . 30 games in I have 61 homers , and 15 games played on power 5 , solid hits 4 and last 15 games played power 4 and solid hits 4 . On 19 I started to crush as well after a time , but after I moved up in pitch speeds that all stopped and I was challenged again and performing as I should with my team . But here it's just a non stop slug fest for me .

On pace to hit over 300 , and I know it's just 30 games but for 10 games straight I was hitting 3 homers a game and then that's when I started playing with the sliders and pitch speeds . If I had left it at default I would without a doubt have 70+ by now .

Did you try legend hitting then? I’d try that next for sure.
