I am not seeing this at all. I have seen more variety in scoring this year than any other year. Of course I have noticed the power surge and have hit more homers than I usually do and may still drop the power down a notch. Overall I have to say that 20 is the most realistic and organic title we have had so far in my opinion.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
I’m about to start a MLB The Show 20 series on YouTube called “Can ANYBODY Score in Any Way Besides a Home Run?”
I don’t think so! Been quite some time... feels broken honestly even with this great slider set. I don’t understand for the life of me how I can be the only one who feels this way. Is it me? Doesn’t make sense.
Cue the “ride it out” and “sample size” crowd in 3... 2... 1...
For those that are still hitting a ton of home runs, I have seen my HR rate go DOWN since the schedule has gotten tougher but I have also changed my camera angle from strike zone to fish eye, as well as increased the pitch speeds. It feels very rewarding when you square one up now.
I still lead the league in homeruns but the top 10 teams are all within a single digit of my team, which is awesome!Comment

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it. I’m surprised that everyone else seems to be seeing the opposite of what I am, which makes me think I need to adjust my strategy or approach?
Yeah, I’m early in the year still and I know the schedule is light, but I know that isn’t the issue. It goes both ways, even the Rays and Orioles are hitting a ton of dingers off me and almost all runs for them come from homers too. It just doesn’t feel right or normal, that I know. And even against weaker pitchers, not all contact goes 430 feet. I’m just not seeing hard hit balls in the gaps or through holes in the infield. I either get out or hit it 430 feet, 90+% of the time. That’s just not normal even against bad pitching.
Now thinking it’s got to be some kind of user error in approach/strategy even though I’m playing the same way I have for 8 years. Obviously I’m a big believer in sample size too, but after playing this game with these sliders for so long, you just know when something doesn’t feel right. Will keep riding it for now though.
**since typing this, across parts of two games, I’ve given up one run, on a homer, and scored four runs, on a two run homer and two solo homers......Last edited by MoneyMan17; 04-10-2020, 04:17 PM.Comment

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Anyone deep in to a season notice 1 of your Bullpen Pitchers stamina not replenishing as fast as it should?
I have 1 guy that hasn't even played for in like 2 or 3 games, yet his stamina is barely back to half way yet.
Finding it odd, like he has an injury or something.Comment

Offset Zoom camera....naaaaa fisheye for these old eyes. Offset zoom days are over!!!
Had a thrilling come from behind win vs the Tribe to salvage a win in game three of that series and avoid the sweep. Brett Gardner back in the starting lineup shows us why!
News wire story on the game coming later. And more franchise streams tonight!!

Gotta share this one! Down 9-5 in the 7th, Garver hit his 2nd homer to bring us within 1. Then he walks it off in the 9th with his 3rd! Best game I've played on the showAttached FilesComment

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Any suggestions to get more scoring variety? I am dumbfounded and don't know what to do or why I'm seeing what I'm seeing. Three more runs for the Orioles on a two run and solo shot. Makes absolutely zero sense to me.Comment

I'm convinced this last patch has screwed up classic pitching.

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
Maybe a silly and “picky” question
When you are setting up the bullpen lineup for the cpu teams, do you put the highest rated middle reliever in the top MR spot (of the 4) or the bottom? Same for setup guys - do you put best set-up reliever in the top SU spot or the bottom? Does it matter? Reason why I’m asking as I currently put them in the best to worst order. But sometimes I question the CPU’s decision as to who he brings in from the bullpen.Yankees modern day

Re: Armor & Swords MLB The Show 20 Classic/Directional Clean Screen Simulation Slider
In my last game I've never been so happy to get beaten. It was probably my first real, "test," of the year against the Dodgers who came in with a 26-7 record. I was 22-13 coming in. First batter of the game (Bryant) walks, next batter (Rizzo), two-run homer. I was thinking, "welp, gonna walk all over them like I do everyone else." Not so much.
Lost 8-2. Ha. And I was relieved to see at least a few of my insane batting averages go down. Given, they're still crazy high, but maybe they'll level off over time. If not, I'll just have guys that hit .400. I'm not going to make crazy slider adjustments.
Baez and Contreras still have averages well north of .400 and Schwarber is hovering right around there. A lot of guys in the mid to high .300's, but again, I'm hoping to see it level off over time. We shall see.Comment

I'm assuming this is a joke. If not, can you elaborate. I just played and didn't notice any difference... meaning my pitching still is average at best.Comment

I've been playing with CPU consistency at 7. The hope is that the CPU is throwing less meatballsComment

I have been doing the same. Well, mine is at 6, but with it at default there were just way, way too many meatball pitches right over the middle.
