OP updated with V3 and a loose version of Legend sliders. I was right that contact needed to be lowered to bring down average bat exit velocities without ruining the bat exit velocity ceiling.

Any changes coming to the sliders? Started my Franchise last night, trying to get sliders locked in.

Thoughts on what I would need to change if I want to use All-Star hitting?

Nope, everything has been within margin for error since I moved to V3. Still struggling with Starter and Bullpen management but the on field results are within my margin for error so far.

All-Star might be tricky this year thanks to how much they've turned down CPU pitcher consistency. I'm at 9 here on HoF in order to have parity with the CPU, I'm not sure if 10 will be enough on All-star (if it does change on that level).

Human contact, CPU pitcher consistency, and pitch speeds seem to be the only things that change between the difficulty levels this year.

Assuming the Human contact slider goes low enough that should be the easiest one of the three to match up. I can do it on request but you can do it yourself by swapping over to zone hitting and seeing what human contact setting gives you the same size of PCI as these sliders on HoF. Use practice mode, and make sure you use the same pitcher/hitter matchup for the test.

Pitch speed is personal preference so that doesn't really need to be matched up. CPU pitcher consistency really is the wild card here.

Last question, how is it striking out CPU?

Talking with guys like Cole, Sale, Ray, etc.

I've had good overall strikeout numbers, and K/9 is still a very powerful attribute to have.

You'll have higher overall strikeouts for sure with them, but you can't just phone it in with a high K/9 pitcher either anymore. There is enough variety created that I've had games with a high K/9 pitcher where I only got 2 or 3 strikeouts, while at the same time I've had 10+ strikeouts with a low K/9 pitcher on these settings.

Overall though, you can expect 7+ strikeouts from a guy like Sale most times he toes the rubber. Just remember to not be afraid to walk a guy. You'd be surprised the kind of stuff the CPU will chase on a 3-2 count.

Dont know if I'm ready for Legend pitching, thoughts on what I would need to raise/lower for HOF classic pitching?

CPU contact I can guarantee will need to be changed. You can use a similar technique to what I described earlier to balance this, just keep in mind the CPU often uses the contact swing this year, but not always (even in the same count in the same matchup in the same situation).

Human Control and Human consistency are the next likely candidates to need adjusting, though I have no idea by how much.

Any other potential changes would be pure guesswork on my part.

I don't support anything less than legend because I find it too easy to get perfect inputs in pulse on any other level. However, I'm playing on a 120hrz 4ms response time panel. Hard to expect the same out of everyone, especially if they're playing on lesser hardware, so I totally get why you'd want to tone it down.

Thinking maybe increase CPU contact to 2 or 3 for HOF pitching?

I'll be able to figure out Human control and consistency, I'll take a look at other sliders who use HOF classic pitching... What you have for Legend Pulse is pretty close to what I've been seeing for HOF classic anyway.

I'd say that would be a good place to start.

I have no evidence or testing to prove this, but I get the feeling that HoF has the closest to CPU/Human parity at default.

So doesnt sound like your gonna do the multiple level sliders again huh? Like sliders for AS, HOF, Legend.

                          Not for pitching, no.

I really want to for hitting, and I hope to iron out any issues with my legend set eventually, but it just takes so long to properly test multiple skill levels.

That one year where I did do it was a nightmare to manage. I had what, 8 slider sets?

I’ve been toying around with legend directional hitting with user contact at 8. It seems pretty spot on how you have it.

Ok so I feel you guys who have stuck around deserve an update.

As you know I haven't been playing as much as usual due to coronavirus. Having more time myself and with my friends having more time, I'm playing more single player story games and multiplayer online games (mostly Overwatch).

I've been playing still, but nowhere near the pace needed to provide accurate sliders.

On top of this, I've met someone special. We've been friends for a few years but we recently decided to try for a romantic relationship and it's been above and beyond what I ever hoped for (seriously ask me about it and I will write reams about how great she is as long as it's not too personal). She's into video games too, but mostly Overwatch and the same single player story based games I'm into. I plan on introducing her to baseball fandom (she is already aware and willing to give it a shot), but even if she does get into it, she still represents a significant reduction in the number of games I can play.

I'll still try to post my sliders every year, but odds are I'm going to drift more towards Overwatch and other games that are more her speed. It's an easy sell for me, I'm already hugely into those games, whereas she had no previous interest in baseball.

That means the valid contributions I can make to OS will likely drop off. I hope to continue, but I figured you guys deserve fair warning.

As far as the sliders are concerned, I've yet to find any reason to change them since the last time I updated. Things are playing out at my expectations.

One thing I am not understanding about pulse pitching. I thought the control of the picture to determine the size of the circle and the speed. Yet one of my pitcher has a control of 74 and has a much larger Circle then a pitcher that has a control of 65. What actually determines the size and speed of the pulse
