Ok so the couple of glaring issue with the contact changes are

1. Even though the cpu is hitting a bit better, I’m absolutely raking now.

2. Foul balls. At first I was like ok a few more can’t hurt. But after 13 games of using the new set it’s becoming ridiculous. The Indians have 25 foul balls off my starter on 3 innings. This is not a one time thing. It’s happening every game.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. The Indians are tough outs, especially that top of the order of Webster, Money, and Keys.

You can bump up pitch speeds for your hitting. Even a tick can alter things a lot.

As for pitching. I'd look at your pitching patterns. You have to balance out attacking hitters and nibbling. Sounds to me like you may be nibbling too much. Also, you can always drop down to AS if it is still too hard for you; no shame in that at all, that's why the option is there.

I haven't seen this too much. My hitters are mostly average so I don't have great hitting stats. I have good pitching and I get a lot of K's, but sometimes really good hitters are hard to put away and I'm good with that.

Sorry I should’ve said that I’m playing with Ridin rosters not bacons. The game isn’t hard at all. That’s not what I was getting at. The cpu just fouls off everything. I’m 10-3 since using the sliders. I’ve already been at 8-8 pitch speeds.

I think you and I just have different opinions on sliders or maybe we just okay the game differently.

Thanks for all your hard work Josh. I’m gonna go a separate route and develop a HOF set.

I love all the slider work everyone does here. I've been basically using these sliders but on HOF for hitting and pitching and the game is playing great.

Funny story.......I ended up moving down to AS+ which is where I'll stay. After playing a bunch of games with these sliders I was getting crushed on HOF. You might want to bump the pitch speeds up on AS+?

I’ve hit on HOF the last few years, but anything above AS for me on this year’s game makes me want to pull my damn hair out it is so frustrating.

I envy you all talking about "it's easy to hit on HOF". I can barely hit on AS lmao! I am using my O's sooo combine that with my lack of ability reading pitches and it's a struggle. I moved pitch speed down to 4 and still have a hard time. But that's baseball.

Have you tried RAISING the pitch speeds a bit? Sometimes I struggle more if they are too slow for me. It may sound counter-intuitive; but it does work for some.

I have NOT tried that but I will definitely give that a whirl just to see. I can understand that POV though because it forces you to be a bit quicker and maybe you can notice a ball/strike/nibble pitch better if it's coming faster (pause)? [emoji23]

im 65 games through year 1 in my Giants franchise using Ridins roster.Heres my team stats through those games.
.266 Avg 1st in Mlb
.456 Slg 1st in Mlb
.340 Obp 4th in Mlb
3.38 Era 9th In mlb
86 Home Runs 5th in Mlb

Im currently on a 9 game win streak. im using default pitch speed sliders on all star plus. if i were to increase the pitch speed slider. what do you reccomend

Lots of people, myself included, allowed the old broken mechanic to be a crutch. But I’m finally getting the hang of it and realize how much that adjustment allows ratings to matter even more than ever.

But it has definitely been a ride….

Is there any other way to get the AS+ difficulty other than playing in exhibition?

HOF is just a little much batting wise for my old butt, and AS is a tad to easy.

I can answer. There really isn't another way other than playing games in dynamic difficulty either in exhibition games or franchise games and then locking it in once you get there. The easiest way is to play in exhibition with a great team against a bad team , and max out the slider.
