Before any adjustment to Contact or Power or Timing could even remotely be considered should be based on timing and pitch speeds.
If everyone is forced to use the same exact setting, it is dependent

If you pickup a pitch speed 6 the same way I pickup a pitch speed 5, they're the same.....the sliders then impact the result

Not sure if we're going to keep going back and forth....all I can tell you is use the sliders, use the sliders with some tweaks to better fit your style/skill or use a different sets. I appreciate your feedback, but I have been doing this a long time and there are a s**t ton of people who download and use these sliders with the pitch speed set right where it is. Can't chance it over one discussion anyhow

I can see why your sliders work for a lot of people because the majority of players are average players hence why yours work, its simply geared towards that group of people. I know for a fact your set is going to be super easy for me cause a 96 mph fast ball will look like an 82 mph change up to me at All-star at 6 pitch speeds. Even though your sliders for hitting and pitching wouldn't be for me, I still like to look at other settings such as base running speeds and pitcher stamina ect....that I can use for my slider settings. So goodluck on the maturity of your set this year and thanks for the tips on other things that I could incorporate into mine.

Don't tear your rotator cuff while patting yourself on the back....LOL. Seriously though, just increase pitch speed then....not sure what else to tell you.

Like I said, every year my sliders are one of the higher rated and most downloaded in the vault and it's not because they're easy for all the less skilled players.

            Re: TNK MLB 21 Sliders

Hello there TNK. I have a question. I’ve always used Armor & Swords sliders but he’s not getting this year’s game. I’m trying to decide whose sliders to roll with. How similar or not similar would you say your sliders are to what he has done in the past. Do they work well with directional hitting (my preferred style) or do I need to use zone?

TNK - Boston Red Sox Franchise
              Game #1 of the season

Baltimore Orioles (0-0) @ Boston Red Sox (0-0)
Pitching Matchup - John Means vs Nathan Eovaldi

The Orioles went down quietly in the top of the 1st and Kike Hernandez would get things started quickly for Boston in the bottom of the 1st when he took the 2nd pitch of the game from John Means and hit a towering fly ball down the LF line over the green monster for a solo HR giving Boston a 1-0 lead in his first at bat as Red Sox. The Orioles would get a run in the top of the 2nd on a RBI double with 2 outs from Pedro Severino to tie the score 1-1. Boston would retake the lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Christian Vazquez took Means deep for a solo HR into the monster seats and the Red Sox had a 2-1 lead after two innings. The Red Sox had two men on with 2 outs in the bottom of the 4th but Means would strike out Hunter Renfroe to end the threat and send the game to the 5th inning with Boston leading 2-1. The Red Sox started the bottom of the 5th inning with singles by Bobby Dalbec and Christian Arroyo to put two men on with nobody out and Kike Hernandez would line a ball into the LF corner for a RBI double to make it 3-1 and Boston had a chance to blow this game open with two men in scoring position and nobody and the heart of the order coming up. Alex Verdugo would make it 4-1 with a sac fly to CF and Means would come back with a big K of JD Martinez for the 2nd out and Freddy Galvis would make a nice play up the middle to save a run and retire Bogaerts for the 3rd out as Means limits the damage and we would go to the 6th inning with the Red Sox leading 4-1. Eovaldi locked up DJ Stewart with a breaking ball to retire the Orioles in the top of the 6th and had retired 9 hitters in a row. Dillon Tate took over on the mound for Baltimore and retired the side in the bottom of the 6th to send the game to the 7th inning with Boston leading 4-1. The Orioles would get a lead off double from Santander in the top of the 7th and would put runners at the corners with 1 out for Pedro Severino and that would be all for Eovaldi who was running out of gas. Darwinzon Hernandez would come in get a big strikeout of Severino on a back door slider but Rio Ruiz would hit a ball in the gap in the left-center with 2 outs for a RBI double to make it 4-2 and bring up Cedric Mullins with two men in scoring position. Mullins would hit a chopper down the 3rd base line but Rafael Devers would make a nice charging bare hand play and fire a strong throw across the diamond to just get Mullins for the final out as Baltimore cuts the deficit to 4-2. Tate pitched another 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the 7th and we would go to the 8th inning with the Red Sox up 4-2. Hernandez remained in the game and retired Hays, Mancini and Stewart in order in the top of the 8th and Dillon Tate would pitch another scoreless frame in the bottom of the 8th to send the game to the 9th inning with the Orioles coming to bat trailing 4-2 and Red Sox closer Matt Barnes coming in to try and close it out. Barnes started the 9th with a swinging K of Santander on a curveball and Galvis would fly out to Renfroe in RF as the Orioles were down to their final out. Maikel Franco would line a single into RF with 2 outs and bring the tying run to the plate in Pedro Severino. Barnes would get Severino to hit a routine fly ball to LF where Verdugo would make the catch for the final out as the Red Sox win 4-2

              * The Red Sox open the season with a 4-2 win over the Orioles on Opening Day

              * Kike Hernandez had a memorable debut in a Red Sox uniform as he homered in his first at bat on just the second pitch of the game from John Means and would finish the game 2 for 4 with a double, HR & 2 RBI

              * Nathan Eovaldi pitched 6.1 strong innings for Boston allowing 2 runs on 6 hits with 4 Ks to earn the win

              * The Red Sox and Orioles will have an off day before they play the 2nd game of the series with Eduardo Rodriguez set to make his return for Boston after missing the 2020 season and Matt Harvey will get the start for Baltimore making his Orioles debut

They are similar.....I haven't done an analysis of his or played with his, but I know Armor does good work on multiple games

They work fine with directional....my advice would be to just download the sliders and give them a handful of games

TNK - Boston Red Sox Franchise
                    Game #2 of the season

Baltimore Orioles (0-1) @ Boston Red Sox (1-0)
Pitching Matchup - Matt Harvey vs Eduardo Rodrgiuez

The Orioles opened the scoring in the top of the 3rd when singles by Pedro Severino and Ramon Urias put runners at the corners with 1 out and Austin Hays would bloop a RBI single into shallow CF to give Baltimore a 1-0 lead. The Orioles still had runners on the corners with 1 out but Eduardo Rodriguez was was fortunate to escape the inning with minimal damage as Trey Mancini was up next and chopped a ball back to Rodriguez on the mound to start a big inning ending double play. Matt Harvey was sharp early and had racked up 5 Ks through and the Orioles had a 1-0 lead after 3 innings of play. Baltimore got a lead off double by Anthony Santander to start the top of the 4th and Mountcastle would fly out to Hernandez in CF who made a terrible overthrow of the cut off man allowing Santander to move up to 3rd base and the error would cost the Red Sox as Freddy Galvis was up next and knocked in Santander with a RBI sac fly to RF making it 2-0. The Red Sox bats came alive in the bottom of the 4th as JD Martinez drew a lead off walk and Xander Bogaerts followed with a double off the green monster to bring up Rafael Devers who jumped all over the first pitch from Harvey and smoked a rocket up the middle for a RBI single that drove in two runs and tied the score 2-2. Harvey would get out of the inning with no further damage and the game was tied 2-2 after 4 innings. The Orioles had a chance to snap the tie after Santander doubled with 2 outs in the top of the 6th but Alex Verdugo would make a nice running catch on a soft fly ball down the RF line by Mountcastle and Rodriguez would get out of the inning with the score still tied 2-2. Harvey rung up Bogaerts with a fastball on the outside edge to start the bottom of the 6th before Rafael Devers singled to RF with 1 out. Tyler Wells would come on to replace Harvey who was tiring and would get Vazquez swinging for the 2nd out. Marwin Gonzalez was up next and Wells would hang a curveball on the first pitch to Gonzalez who hammered it 408 feet for a 2-run HR down the RF line to give Boston a 4-2 lead. Rodriguez was in a groove on the mound and retired the side in order in the top of the 7th. Franchy Cordero drew a walk to lead off the bottom of the 7th then stole second base and was moved over to 3rd on a sac bunt by Hernandez to bring up Alex Verdugo with 1 out. Adam Plutko would make his way in from the pen for Baltimore and did a great job as he struck out both Verdugo and Martinez to get out of the inning and strand Cordero at 3rd base as we would move to the 8th inning with the Red Sox leading 4-2. Rodriguez would return to the mound to begin the top of the 8th and would get Ramon Urias to pop up for the 1st out before Cedric Mullins singled to bring up Austin Hays with a man on and 1 out. Alex Cora made the decision to stick with Rodriguez after a mound visit and Rodriguez would get Hays to ground into an inning ending 6-4-3 double play to finish off a very good outing for Rodriguez. Plutko would pitch a scoreless bottom of the 8th and send the game to the 9th inning with Boston leading 4-2. Matt Barnes entered the game in the exact same situation as opening day with a 4-2 lead and looking to close it out. Barnes would start the 9th by striking out Mancini on a 96 mph fastball at the letters and then struck out Santander on a splitter away and the Orioles were down to their final out. Ryan Mountcastle would hit a routine fly ball to Verdugo who made the catch in RF for the final out as Barnes records the save and the Red Sox win 4-2

                    * The Red Sox beat the Orioles 4-2 to improve to 2-0 while Baltimore drops to 0-2

                    * Eduardo Rodriguez pitched well in his return to action after missing the entire 2020 season due to COVID complications throwing 8 strong innings allowing 2 runs on 7 hits with a walk and 4 Ks

                    * Matt Harvey pitched well and earned a no decision in his Orioles debut allowing 2 runs in 5.1 innings while striking out 7

                    * Marwin Gonzalez got the start at second base and hit a go ahead 2-run HR in the bottom of the 6th in his first game in a Red Sox

                    * Matt Barnes slammed the door in the 9th inning to record his 2nd save in as many games to start the season

                    * The Red Sox and Orioles will wrap up this season opening 3 game series tomorrow with Garrett Richards set to make his Red Sox debut on the mound for Boston with Bruce Zimmerman scheduled to get the start for Baltimore

                        Re: TNK MLB 21 Sliders

Been using these for a few games now and overall I am liking them, they play pretty well. Wasn’t sure about the fielders speed at first but I feel completely differently on that now it’s kind of beautiful to be honest.

I do have one question however. If I feel the average hits per game are too high for both user and cpu, what would be better to adjust, contact or timing?

I still need to play several more games before possibly adjusting to test further.

Are you playing every pitch of every game? If so have you seen many injuries for your team? I know in previous years we have had to play with injuries up to 10. Don’t want to go months without an injury if you’re not seeing any.

I heard Ridin talk about these sliders in one of his streams so I thought I'd give them a shot. First time plugging sliders in a franchise and I have to say it's been a very welcoming challenge. I normally play on all star so it took a few bp sessions to adjust. IMO it's played very realistic especially on the fielding side. I do the whole play 1 game sim the next 5 games franchise and I'm 2-4 in played games with the Pirates. So I'm pleased so far!

Using these sliders in my Mariners franchise and LOVE them! One question...why are CPU Pickoffs so high at 7? I feel like stealing is a bit hard and they can pick you off quite easy, including throwing over every time I take a lead. Just curious, maybe I'm just bad at stealing?

                                You're stealing wrong

Preload your steal with L2, then HOLD L1 and release just as the pitcher starts to move.....DO NOT TAKE AN EXTENDED LEAD.....take the normal lead, set the steal and then hold L1 and time your take off

I had same issues last year and then I actually learned HOW TO STEAL
