The stamina increase helps with the cpu bullpen management.

Ahh okay, that makes sense then. Also, how's it going with the equipment edits?

          Hey Knucklecutter,

I have been trying some other sliders but thought I would give these a try. Is there a way to increase my walks and hits per nine?

I used your pitching sliders and settings exactly except for CPU timing which I kept at 5. The hard hit balls, home runs and ERA is all fine, but after about 12 test games my WHIP is averaging 0.73. Through 12 games I have walked 10 batters

Most of the runs scored against me are doubles string together or paired with a single, or home runs. Barely any are from walks + singles.

The sliders work fine as far as competitive balance, always good games with a wide variety of scores and type of hits. Would lowering HUM pitcher control work to help increase walks?

Lowering the control could create more walks by missing the intended location and being balls but it could also result in more pitches missing over the heart of the plate. Is it possible that you're not trying to painting the corners enough or not intentionally throwing balls enough? I don't know how you pitch, but they will swing at junk out of the zone from time to time, but sometimes they won't.

I usually always throw at the corner of the zone in 2 strike counts and fastballs/changeups for strikes in hitters counts.

But it feels like the CPU slg % is like .600+ and their on base % is like .300 and below lol. They will have more XBHs than singles/walks usually.

Overall the game plays fine but over my first half of month (year 2) as the Padres, all 5 of my SP's WHIP are the top 5 in the league. But their ERAs are between 3.00-5.50. I just want to find a way to increase walks/singles without sacraficing their XBHs

I have tried almost every slider/setting set on here and I keep coming back to these. Pitch speeds at 10 is the ultimate realism. I never get broken bats on any other sliders.

                  Thanks for these.

Slight change in the sliders: Manager hook will now stay at 5 all the time.

After some more testing, I see no reason to increase the hook to 7 after a relief comes in or for simulating opponent games. The bullpen management seems to be ok when left at 5. Initially I was concerned but it appears to be fine. I will update the original post.

I’m just wondering what would happen if I adjusted strike frequency. Would I draw more walks? Obviously it’s up to me if I swing or not. Just wondering.

Altering the strike frequency would probably imbalance the game. You'd be better off taking more pitches / being more patient. If you face a knuckleballer I could see lowering it some maybe, but I've never tried.

I have made a change. I switched cameras. For hitting I use broadcast and pitching I use Retro. Much easier to read the pitches instead of swinging at waste pitches.

I hope you mean for hitting you use retro and pitching you use broadcast. Otherwise you’re an animal! Lol

Haha no I do use broadcast for hitting. Crazy I know. But I just like to see the break on the pitches from the pitchers view. And the only reason that I use retro on pitching is so I get to see the outfield and city skylines.
