For now I'm trying to adjust the timing slider before I adjust contact. According to the game the timing slider lowers foul balls and also lowers settings and misses. I'd rather adjust that first before contact because that's gonna inflate batting averages. We may still have to go that route but I'd continue increasing timing first

Has anyone settled on a slider set for this mode yet? I tried the one on You Tube and its an offensive explosion every game. The one on the first page(rumorman) is another offensive explosion. The resent one posted just above seems to be working ok. Is this the set everyone seems to be going with? I know solid hits at 7 isn't working. It looks like the one dman08 posted appears to be working ok. What's everyone's opinion?

I'm doing some testing right now because like the previous comment said I am leading the league in Ks and batters striking out as well. I'm trying timing on 6 to cut down on the settings and misses first. I'll let u know what I get after about 30 games or so

I used this set the last two years and it was fine (except for the strikeouts and walks. I tried to change the Strike Frequency to 4 and drop the contact to 5 but that generated too much offense. Putting contact at 7 did the same thing.

I try to keep everything at 5 so that the ratings mean something. At this point I'm sorta just throwing my hands up because I don't want to deal with slideritis.

The only other thing I can of at this point is to drop the strike frequency to 4 and the contact at 4. The reason dropping the strike frequency to 4 is to reduce the number of 0-2 counts.

This though is probably gonna be my final set.

Ok so the set i posted up above seems to actually play the best outside of the strikeouts. Maybe a lack of walks too. I'm just noticing that the cpu plays much different on all star difficulty. I didn't think this would matter but I'm seeing less strikeouts on all star but much more offense at least as far as hits are concerned. I guess I'm gonna try to find a set on all star but if I can't find a good set then I'll go back to what I posted earlier and just live w the strikeouts. I'll come back and post what i found. Just so u guys know i did edit the set up above. The cpu timing is now on 8 and Strike Frequency is on 4

Just so you know the difficulty doesn't matter when playing Manage only Mode. They confirmed this last year. It's set to play on All Star.

To be clear up front, I’ve not purchased MLB The Show 25 yet. I’m still playing 24, the main reason being I finally have the sliders right and am enjoying the heck out of the game. I only play manage mode. It took me a while to solve the Strikeout problem while balancing offense (not too much or too little) and still get a variety of scoring in games. I found the key was lowering pitcher control, consistency and strike frequency. I have no clue how these would work in 25, but thought I’d post these to give you all something to think about and try if you’d like.

Ok I'm not aware of that maybe cuz I don't actually play manage mode. I play Cpu vs cpu and unless it's just an anomaly since I switched to all star I'm seeing much less strikeouts and way more hits per game.

I don’t have any difficulty level specifically set, but I don’t believe it affects MoM. I can tell you in the settings under General I play with the Gameplay style of ‘Simulation’ and the Hitting and Pitching Difficulty set to ‘Dynamic’.

Ok i play my franchise cpu vs cpu so I wasn't sure if there was a difference in the 1 modes. I played 1 game w your settings before work and they played pretty darn well. Only change was i left pitching Stamina at default and i put manager Hook at 4. They did a much better job at controlling complete games in 25 but they pull the starter too early for my liking. So far so good tho and I left it on all star difficulty

I suggest everybody give these are try. They play really well. The only difference is made was pitcher Stamina both at 5 and manager Hook at 4. Also sim injuries on 5

Glad to hear they’re helpful dman. The pitcher stamina and manager hook adjustments may be needed due to the changes made in 25 vs 24 to address complete games. Also, I like a lot of injuries in my franchises to help better simulate MLB, but it’s personal preference.

After you play more games, let me know if you have other feedback on how they’re playing or if you make any other tweaks. Also I’d be interested in your overall impressions on MLB 25 and how it compares to 24. I’m sure I’ll be picking it up at some point. Thanks.
