Re: Rmiok222 MLBTS22 Harder HOF Directional/Classic Slider Set
For what it’s worth, I’ve been playing the OP on HOF+ difficulty as well. Works just fine, only change I make is user control from 4 to 5 when playing on HOF+

I’m actually probably going to do a legend pitching set as well.
I’m set on HOF hitting. Then I’ll have HOF, HOF+, and Legend pitching sets if anybody is interested in that.

Re: Rmiok222 MLBTS22 Harder HOF Directional/Classic Slider Set
A little update. I have gone increasingly frustrated with this game..the cpu offense has been ridiculous to yield realistic results. I was fed up when I threw back to back complete games, the second one being a 82 pitch complete game shutout with ZERO Ks.
Seemed like I would lower cpu timing and typically get a realistic K amount for the cpu and no offense, or raise it back up to 4 or 5 cpu timing and get a very unrealistic K amount for the cpu…..and still no offense lol.
THAT BEING SAID. we have figured this out and I will be sharing shortly what we have found. Just want to run a few more games.

First things first DavisAC12 was a big help with this set. He actually planted the seed in my head. I’m just going to jump right into this.
User/cpu
Contact 6/4
On HOF…they will actually strikeout. This has to be paired with cpu timing at 6. I cannot believe it took me this long to have this epiphany but holy smokes. Also a little bonus here is when you lower this below 5 the cpu is more patient at the plate.
Power 4/5
I have always hit more homeruns than the cpu. Trying to cool that down. On the other hand they need more help than the user so I’ve left them at 5.
Timing 4/6
This has just been a complete game changer for me with cpu contact paired at 4. They strikeout and they actually square up the ball when they hit it because their timing window is bigger. Makes complete sense once you think about it and I’m pissed it took me 2+ months into the cycle to figure this out. Another thing I like about this is you won’t see the cpu be early on a 101 mph fastball like you would see on default contact and a low timing slider. The swing and misses look very natural.
Foul frequency 1/1
Solid 6/7
This is simply what I found what works. I can’t stand when the user sliders are different from the cpu sliders. But let’s face it, the cpu does not play like the user in this game.
I use 3/4 user control consistency. I feel like these are sliders that can be overlooked. It plays a big role on how the cpu hits the ball.
All my other sliders remain the same. I’ll update OP.

Re: Rmiok222 MLBTS22 Harder HOF Directional/Classic Slider Set
This right here is the downfall of most slider makers. It becomes more of an obsession about what the numbers of the sliders look like, rather than the gameplay output on the field. You shouldn't ever have a stronghold on having the HUM sliders match the CPU's. If you do, you might as well leave all well enough alone and play default. We have learned over the years that the numbers under the hood (the hard-coding in the engine OOTB) are not even at default for both sides, and often need some adjusting; the PC Madden players have shown us this. The same is true with this title.Last edited by Ren The Conqueror; 06-10-2022, 08:50 AM.Now Playing

You’re absolutely right. I’ve learned to accept “default” is not evenly matched at all. Plus we have the user side where I can time up a ball pretty good on 4 timing. The cpu can’t.

Re: Rmiok222 MLBTS22 Harder HOF Directional/Classic Slider Set
This may be a general gameplay question more than sliders but I would like to see SDS remove the bloopers halfway between the infielder and outfielder but are always caught by their infielders. Based on the animation, you can always tell that its going to be caught by the infielder. I rarely if ever see an animation where it falls between the infielder and outfielder. The other play is when you hit a pop up that goes about 10 feet in the air directly at the infielder. Is there a slider that would minimize these types of plays?Comment

Heck I just wish the outfielder would call off the infielder. Lowering fielder speed would help that. But I’m at the point with this game where it scares me moving anything at this point. I’ve never seen a game so fickle with adjusting sliders than this year. I’m also convinced that there is so many things “under the hood” this year. Change one slider and it affects about 6 others it feels like.

Re: Rmiok222 MLBTS22 Harder HOF Directional/Classic Slider Set
Didn’t realize many people still used these to be honest. I’ve updated the OP. All it is was me putting things closer to default values. This game has so many “under the hood” things going on that it terrifies me to change things from default that i absolutely do not have to change.
I’ve also been messing with default contact and timing a bit. Absolutely loving my guardians franchise right now.
Also, I’m pitching in HOF +, not much difference between the two. If you find HOF too easy just simply grind to get your Dynamic difficulty to HOF+. You could also just start a new profile, Start on legend, leave dynamic difficulty “on”, go into a game and suck it up real quick and you’ll be in HOF+ in a couple minutes.
