Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
Meter pitching is tricky. The meter works different for each picher. It changes with each pitchers motion. This adds to the challenge of the game.
I am definitely not the best at it. I work the high and low corners of the plate. I like to stay low in the zone.Comment

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders
I absolutely suck at meter pitching lol. Probably as bad as guys are trying classic pitching for the first time. I rarely can stop the meter in the yellow. Glad to hear you guys can have success using these sliders using a different pitching interface than we do!

Yeah they work really well just with those slight nodifications. I tried switching to classic I just can't get into it. Also of note for anyone using meter make sure you use dynamic until you get locked in for best results. I'm at HOF +.if it wasn't for the gutter my mind would be homeless...Comment

S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
Would really love a deeper dive into Foul Frequency and why it’s set to 0/0 - genuinely interested and I think it’s a really cool adjustment to the sliders.
Is the main feature of this slider to keep you alive on close pitches with 2 strikes, by allowing you to foul off close pitches, opposed to striking out or soft contact?
Does it mainly have to do with trying to eliminate a million foul balls I sometimes see from game to game (and as a byproduct of that, keeps more balls in play?)

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
The foul frequency is just to put more balls in fair territory. It will open up more doubles down the line as well. It will not help you stay alive or make more contact with the pitch. If you have foul frequency at 10, if you are early on the swing, chances are you are going to pull it foul. At 0, that same swing could make the ball stay fair for an out or double down the line. I hope this helps.
I always have trouble hitting there.Comment

Thanks a lot Bryan, a great explanation!

Yeah with Quick Counts it doesn’t matter. But if you aren’t using quick counts it will save some pitches. Could always raise it by 1 or 2.Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders
Foul frequency at 0 just gave Gavin Sheets his 3rd homerun of the season vs me. His timing was fairly early. It was cool though cause Boog mentioned how he's probably had his fair share of those go foul before. Something like that anyway. Sucks to give up a homer but it's totally worth having it on 0.
We play quick counts so pitch count is never a concern to be honest.

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
Foul Frequency at 0 doesn't change the pitch count for me (and I don't play QC) I usually almost have the starter out in the 5th innings and up to 80 plus pitchers by the end of the 5th on average.Comment

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic/Quick Counts MLB 22 Sliders
The control and consistency sliders at 2/2 help ensure without quick counts that you're not able to throw 75-80%+ strikes and paint corners all game with ease. When you are able to it feels really good and like you had to put in some effort to do it.
