S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders

Are you using dynamic hitting difficulty? I am on Vet+ hitting with it so no shame in sucking at hitting here. And slider sensitivity was at 3 to get there so it took a lot of sucking at the plate to get there lol. I'd like to keep dynamic difficulty on for the whole season but that means moving the sensitivity slider to 3 for hitting then back to 0 so I stay locked in on AS+ pitching. Kind of annoying but I really should anyway.

I was hoping they had a separate hitting and pitching dynamic difficulty sensitivity slider this year. Really love using dynamic difficulty for hitting but want to stay locked in a spot for pitching.

I am but I locked in AS+ then turned DD slider to 0… I may have to turn the slider up again tho… Although Ive had some real good offensive games so I may just leave it. Idk yet.

I like HOF for pitching so Im good there.

I have been busy the past couple of days so I haven't played as much as I would have liked but I will catch up the next few days. But I did play my first game with classic pitching. I played on All Star and used 4/4 as my control consistency. I results that were very similar to what I got on meter.





Giants 2 8 0

Mets 1 4 0



Max Scherzer was the starter. Brandon Belt hit a 2 run homer on a sinker that was actually pretty decent. I was stunned when he hit it out. My only run came on a sac fly. My hitting never got going.



I definitely will be alternating back and forth between classic and meter. I noticed the CPU hit more balls that just seemed to drop in or find the hole in the infield and get through.

Same here with being busy brother. It sucks!!

With classic it really allows the ratings to shine. You will notice a big difference from pitching with Scherzer and a below average SP, not that the Mets have one.

I have been pitching AS+ with control/consistency at 4/4 and it's been solid along with the cpu hitting sliders we are heavily testing right now. Sort of leaning towards a lower consistency but overall I can't complain.

Learning classic adds a totally different game experience. Now I have a brand new method of playing that I can use. You see a different side of the game.



The CPU gets different types of hits with classic

I've never used any other pitching interface but never thought it would cause a different hit variety. Guess it makes sense cause the pitch locations are vastly different at times so the bat contact angles are different causing different types of hits.

Yeah you see different hits with Classic than with Meter.
The CPU repeatedly gets seeing eye hits that some how find a hole into the outfield. I am seeing more hits where the OF just cant get their in time and it drops in. A lot of deep infield balls where the SS knocks it down but cant make the play.

On one play my RHP pitcher threw a cutter inside on a left handed batter and broke his bat into pieces. The ball bounces in front of the plate and dribbles down the 3rd base line and by the time the Pitcher fields the ball its too late to throw the batter out. Thats right a broken bat infield single that only went about 20 ft down the line. THAT IS A VERY RARE PLAY FOR A VIDEO GAME. That is like finding a 4 leaf clover.



If you ever try to play with Meter you will see what I am saying. It is totally different fielding experience.

My dynamic settings are getting close to where they need to be. How do I create and save multiple profiles so I do not lose it again.

You go to the settings button in your franchise. The far right you’ll see a wheel and click on that. You’ll get a few choices pop up. One of them will be called save new profile. Click that and you’ll select create from current. They will call it custom 2. Then you can change the name if you want.

This! I am terrible at hitting, I found a really sweet spot on Vet+ so I am locked in there. I would love to keep my pitching dynamic, but it is annoying to flip the slider over and over.

I feel the same way. What I do is lower the dynamic to like 2. If you are in your sweet spot, it won’t hardly move much. Your pitching will move a little quicker if it’s too easy or hard. That might help.

I have now played about 30 games with these and really I am in a bad spot. At first the only way the computer would score was on HR. so I lowered the power and upped the contact one and the solid hits. Now the computer can barely score at all. I am on All star plus for hitting and i am on hall of fame for pitching. I am using the Mets so I know they have top notch starting pitching but I look for realism and if I win 130 games to me that is not fun.

I am really having a hard time finding a middle ground. Any suggestions?

I just moved my pitching to HOF+. I would also recommend raising the CPU timing (if it's on 0 like the OP).

I feel you. We will get it figured out. Are you using control and consistency at 2 or 4?

You could raise cpu timing to 3 to start as well.

I’m trying to find a balance with Allstar + pitching but the cpu is too weak in my opinion. I’ll probably have to go back on HOF.
