Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
Yeah I’ve been between 2 and 3 on HOF. Been using 3. Seems to work just fine on HOF as well. Strikeout numbers are still pretty in line

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
The Marlins are a team that people are sleeping on.
They have very good young pitching.
Once I finish my 162 game season with the Mets I may start up one with the Marlins.
It would be fun to play a full year with them to see if you can win.Comment

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
We have updated the OP with the current changes that we are locked in on. We are currently testing some crazy stuff that we think is going to work out even better. But we want to hold on to post that for more games.
What has been changed:
Solid Hits at 6 for both sides.
Timing at 3 for CPU for all difficulties.
Human Control and Consistency at 4.
Solid hits at 6 is making the offense more dangerous. Combined with power at 4, the CPU is putting more guys on base via singles and doubles and putting you in more jams. I know most sliders have it at 4 to get more variety. But that is the first thing we check over several games before we officially made the move to 6. We make sure both sides are getting the hit variety that is close to MLB averages.Follow me on Twitch

S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
^^^I can answer this right now. I’m currently playing a game with Bieber pitching. CPU timing at 3. I have 10 ks through 4 innings.
Edit: meant to tag The Kid, also Bieber now has 13 K’s through 6

Brian and Irish, all of our major sliders are going to wind up being almost the same lol. Besides fielding speed etc..my only difference is going to be power at 5 and cpu pitching sliders

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
If you want to do something crazy, next game, play with IF and OF Fielding Errors at 0. I have played 3 games with that and have seen really good results. I didn't look at fielder ratings to see if they should have made that play or not. I think we could find a middle ground of like 2 or 3. I know we will be giving up some errors but they don't count them anyways.
But I got tired of a lot of infielders diving for the ball only to smother it and bounce out for infield hits. I had one SS dive for a line drive and had it bounced out but that was hard hit. And the outfielders now don't bobble most of the singles that bounce in front of them.
And I don't know what SDS did with the diving animations this year. Sometimes the fielders dive like they are on a super slide. LOL It is like they slide way too long. Steve and I both noticed that. Have you?Follow me on Twitch

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
That is crazy how our set is so close. As you said, it shows how close we are to getting these locked in. And I have been debating on raising CPU Consistency if that would help tame my home runs.

I actually talked about the awful slide animations in my last stream. It’s like they dive, land, slide 3 feet, and then the ball goes into the glove lol. It’s so bad. I’ll try the errors though. I’m actually pretty comfortable locking mine in probably by tonight. Knowing you guys have the same style and philosophy as me reassures me a lot too to see the similarities between the two sets. Heck I might have to put in my application next year to join team S&B [emoji12]

Yeah I’m only answering on Brian and Irish’s thread because I also have the same user pitching settings. Through 7 I have 14K’s. Absolute domination.

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
Lets see if I understand this right.
Solid Hits is the likelihood of hitter contact turning into a actual hit.
Contact is the likelihood of any individual swing making any kind of contact with the ball.
So If I set contact to 10 and solid hits to 1 I would have all kinds of bloop hits and foul balls but a low number of actual hits.
If I put solid hits at 10 and contact to 1 I would have low bloops and fouls but a lot of hits and line drives.
I think that is correct from what I have been reading.Comment

And for sure, we might as well get together to make a set! I'm liking we are the same on the major things. Definitely a good sign we have found something that works well.

Solid hits is likelihood of a hard hit ball (high velocity).
Power determines said velocity and distance traveled on a "solid hit".
Contact is likelihood of making contact. Could be more to that we can't see or truly determine. To me by far most difficult slider to understand.

Re: S & B's Directional/Classic MLB 22 Sliders
Bro those super slides look so ridiculous lol. They touted improved fielding this year. Yes if manual fielding it is much easier and I actually enjoy it until I give up an inside the park homerun lol. But auto fielding, mainly the OF was way better last year. The sliding 3-5 feet before the ball lands in glove looks so bad it's comical lol.
And for sure, we might as well get together to make a set! I'm liking we are the same on the major things. Definitely a good sign we have found something that works well.
