Played another pitch only test game. Rockies vs Giants at the old Shibe Park. Tried to look for one with a larger outfield. It's either Shibe or Polo grounds, so I decided to try Shibe park.
Some wonky foul pole in RF that's built into the RF wall. Giants hit the pole for a homerun when I thought it was just off the wall lol. Anyways a complete different game outside of Coors. Giants got 15 hits but the whole game felt natural. Rockies held to only 7 hits. Pitching only is like pitching two games so to see 15 hits then 7 hits is great and on par to what I've been seeing playing my Mets franchise.
SFG 7 15 0 (1BB 5K) 3 2B, 3HR
COL 3 7 0 (1BB 4K); 3 2B
My only small concern is low strikeout numbers. But neither Logan Webb or Senzatela are strikeout pitchers, and I've gotten them with actual strikeout pitchers. Just something to keep an eye on though.
EDIT- Looking at some minor league stadiums in the game and the options there for Colorado are much better. They have a park with mountains in the background. There are a handful that appear to have larger outfields. The Porch looks most like a modern MLB stadium for an option as well. So definitely will be choosing one of those if and when I play Colorado on the road in a franchise. I feel a lot better and less stressed out about the Coors Field fiasco now lol
