My team batting is where I'm low. Pete Alonso missed 60 games early on. He's back now luckily. But because of that I'm like 26th in homeruns, but was 29th forever before he came back. I'm good batting average wise, but because of lack of homeruns we are near the bottom for runs scored. Pitching has definitely carried us, but with Alonso back the hope is we can score more runs and go on a big win streak.

Unfortunately I just lost my last two games. Houston beat me 2-1, the Texas beat me 5-4. A 3 run homer killed me vs Texas.

That is awesome to hear. I had a winning streak in the beginning of the year and got nervous because I generally know how this game plays out by now. But with dynamic difficulty on, it did get super competitive and I went on a losing streak and the last 20 or so games I would say have been pretty back and forth- lots of fun. Last night I was losing 5-1 in the 8th, and by the bottom of the 9th made it 5-5 and then won in the 10th. The variety I'm getting is outrageous. Some days I dominate, and some days I'm dominated. I'm playing with dynamic difficulty on and it really has curbed lengthy streaks now, which I like. Alonso batting .289 with 22 HR and 52 RBI through 55 games, leading the AL and NL in both. I love when I can get star players to shine. In years' past, I would struggle with some of the superstars but not with Alonso. Come to think of it- I need a way to back up this save file. I don't have a PS + account, so can I just buy a USB and save it to that as a backup?

Save it to the cloud. I had same thing happen to me just the other day. Power went out. Lost all save data for all my games. Luckily I had a cloud save and only had to replay two games.

When you go to save there's an option that says upload to cloud. I use it so I can load it up on the Switch and update rosters within my franchise on there when not able to play on ps4. But it saved me big time. Idk if I could've restarted a Mets season again.

Cool to see some fellow Mets Franchise guys in here. Been having a blast so far as I’m about to close out May.

Good surprises so far: Dom Smith (.994 OPS!), Cano hitting over .300 vs righties, Nick Plummer and Khalil Lee both looked awesome in brief stints when some guys were out with injuries. Whole rotation has been money, Peterson (2.15 era in 30 ip), Walker (1.99 era in 40 ip) in particular have been having breakout seasons. Along with the bullpen for the most part - Joely Rodriguez (0.70 era) has been so reliable vs both lefties and righties with that change up!

My biggest bust of the year has been Starling Marte who has been absolutely dreadful at the plate (ops under 500). He has started to lose playing time but still gets opportunities due to his stellar defense.

My pitching stats have been really, really good but I feel like it’s more of a product of the Mets pitching staff and a relatively easy schedule in April and May. We’ve been getting hit around more lately and I’m excited to use some of the tweaks that have been floated around here the past couple days.

LFGM yes! And dude Marte for me, as well- dreadful! Batting .192 with 2 HR and 12 RBI so he's been relegated to just playing against lefties. He has been a tick better as of late, but still. Can't hit with him.

Man that sucks about Marte for you guys. He's been really solid for me all year. Updated live roster has him 99 contact vs lefties now so he kills it vs them. I don't know his stats but he's hitting above.240 with 6-9 homeruns. Currently my hottest hitter along with Lindor so moved up to hit 3rd in the lineup.

I think I’m going to have to try these. I have been trying HOF pitching with CPU sliders at 6/5/5/5…and my pitching at 3/3…:clean screen. Typical game is 7-10 hits for cpu but at least 2/3 of their hits are extra bases. I get a decent amount of strikeouts and walks. But the games are pretty boring/cookie cutter……CPU still is only scoring a few runs a game! Every game feels the same. I’m the cubs so I know my record won’t be good but dang it’s been near impossible to dial these in. I’ve stayed away from going down in difficulty cause I feel like the CPU is weak on HOF and Legend….:but I may have to give yours a whirl. I have always loved the show and it’s what I always do in my spare time so I’m pretty desperate at this point

You would think it would be CRAZY to think Allstar would be more difficult. We been through the same struggle and Steve said he was trying Allstar and noticed a big difference. I was like no way.

RMiok also tried Allstar and he even had to tone his numbers down cause the CPU was too strong.

Give it a shot for a game or two. If you are frustrated, you have nothing to lose lol.

Give this set a shot bro! I was going through the same thing, being a HOF guy for a while using Armors set and I could feel the offense wasn’t opened up enough both ways about 20 games into my franchise. Since I made the switch I’ve experienced great variety. I threw a no hitter, have been hit around (Phillies hit 7 bombs against me the other day), and everything in between. My strikeout numbers and walks have been pretty solid both ways.

Only changes I’ve made to the updated set is to up human pitching consistency to 3, cpu consistency to 6, cpu starter stamina to 9, and cpu solid hits at 9. Also I play with pitch speeds at 10.

Gonna try em….plugging them in now. So I guess they are using Human Consistency at 3 and control 0?

Yes we have moved consistency up to 3 as well. Control still 0.

Currently I have been personally using cpu hitting sliders:

                          Contact 8
                          Power 5
                          Timing 5
                          Solid hits 8

It's been working really well for me thus far. Got a bit more offense from the cpu that I was needing. Solid hits at 8 are a nice spot for contact at 8. Timing had to be dropped to get Ks, and the cpu was just unstoppable if timing went above 6.

Contact at 7 and timing at 7 alongside solid hits at 10 worked pretty well for me too. I just personally needed a bit more consistent offense from the cpu.

Really there are options to try to find what works for you. Allstar definitely the best way to go, and both contact and solid hits absolutely HAVE to be above 5 or else it's what everyone has experienced. Same thing game after game, becomes boring and not fun.

Only 4 games played using the 8/5/5/8 setup, but here are the line scores from the cpu.

                          HOU 7 11 0 (4BB 9K); 3 2B, 3HR, 5 singles

                          HOU 2 5 1 (3BB 13K); 2B, 3 singles

                          TEX 5 10 1 (2BB 6K); 2B, 3B, HR, 7 singles.

                          TEX 1 8 0 (3BB 7K); 2 2B, 6 singles, 0 HR

Use these as a solid base and tweak to your needs and liking. The fielding sliders are crazy good as well, which really help with hit variety within the game while keeping the smooth gameplay part of the game.

Ultimately these will test you. They will let you know real quick just how good you are pitching on this game. Even with classic pitching, I tell ppl all the time there is far more user control than most realize. It's a lot about rhythm and finding it. Once you do then you can dominate the AI in a game.

And for those using clean screen...these are NOT meant for that so do so at your own risk lol. We do not throw blind and never test anything throwing blind. So if you're struggling I highly recommend to use classic fade ball marker at the very least. It's what both of us use.

Everything there is so unnatural and unrealistic. A triple by Moustakas? Cmon now. Every time I play there I see at least one triple. Countless doubles, and of course homeruns. It's so unrealistic and ******** to where it would be a game breaker for me if I used the Rockies and played there 81 times.

It is honestly impossible to get 60-65% singles in that ballpark. I am 100% convinced of that. Even with default sliders the game no way would give 65% singles. It's a doubles fest with a triple per game thrown in, and average of 3 homeruns to boot. You'd be lucky to average 35% singles over the course of a season in that park.

                            CIN 12 18 2 (1BB 8K); 5 2B, 3B, 4HR
                            COL 5 9 2 (0BB 4K); 4 2B, 3B, 2HR

Colorado actually only had 4 hits after 6 innings, and 6 hits after 8 innings. But the 9th was the typical stuff. 3 hits, with a double and a two out homerun of course.

Idk what ballpark to use but I definitely am not using Coors. I don't want to have separate sliders just to play there. But if you are playing there a lot I would start with default cpu hitting sliders and go from there. That park is just not fun and completely breaks the game for me though.

I haven't seen much difference with Coors and the other ballparks to be completely honest. My numbers are actually better on the road for most of my roster.

Maybe if I played there for a season things would even out. But I swear nearly every time I play there it's insane. I was swept by Colorado with the Mets earlier in the year lol.

                              Their line scores were

                              4 8 0 (beat me 4-2)
                              14 17 1 (14-6 final)
                              10 16 0 (10-4 final)

Not fun at all there for me ha

Hi everyone. A couple of questions:
                                1. How have you adjusted to quick counts? I really like the concept to be able to play a couple of games. Plus, it adds another level of variety, like the wind and slider changes.
                                2. With this set, is there a common pitch speed that most feel is the best?

                                Thanks,
                                Jeff
