    Re: Cpu hook setting

First game with hook st 10 for SP. Astros let Luis Garcia pitch 5 innings with 3h 1er. His stamina is 74 and he still had a green bar at 75 pitches when he left. Astros are down that 1-0 so not sure if it were tied or they were winning if they'd let him pitch longer. I suspect if they were ahead he'd get the quality start attempt though.

Could argue this was too soon. But rather this than leaving him in to get shelled. Somewhere between 8-10 for the SP seems to be where we want it.

Enjoying your posts as I am seeking to play with a somewhat tactical way, so would like to get the sliders for the Piching correct, so could you list how you have BOTH the CPU and HUM Pitcher sliders....
Thanks again, to everyone here for the hard work in experimenting.

The current MLB trend is for coaches to be scarred to death of most pitchers going through the lineup a third time. CPU SP hooks would have to be pretty consistently egregious for it not to match up with real life.

Check out S&B slider thread for what we have. But for the hook we settled on 7 for SP and 10 for RP. At 8 it seemed good for a bit but then we had a couple instances the cpu pulled the SP after 4ip with their team leading. So they were pulling them without giving them a chance to get a win. They also had enough energy to go at least 5ip. At 7 we haven't seen anything crazy yet so thinking that is the best spot for the hook for the SP.
