I am just making sure on your settings. So the hitting difficulty is allstar and pitching difficulty is legend for both user and CPU. Also all sliders are the same as listed on page 1 except sliders listed above.

That is correct. But I just updated the sliders on the OP. Did some changes on the fielding.

Version 5 is posted. Notes on some changes: Note, these have been tested WITHOUT using quick counts.

Fielder reaction bumped to 7. See more clean dives from the infielders.
The fielding errors are at 0 to make more clean plays and less infield hits from balls that bounce out of the gloves for infield hits.

I’m still using cpu contact at 8, power at 6 and solid hits at 6 but having played 20 games with these I don’t see many home runs from them. What do you suggest? Increase solid hits or power?

It’s weird as I used to play with cpu contact and timing both at 10 but it feels like you recent combo results in better quality hits for them.. just still not enough of a threat for my liking. Suggestions welcomed!

I would maybe try solid hits at 7. If it too may solid hits I would lower timing a notch.

Sliders are still working fine. Gameplay and graphics on the Series X are immaculate. The Series X game is different than the Xbox One. The reaction times and game play is totally different in my opinion.


The Show is definitely the best sports game out there in my opinion. I have tried some of the other games and pretty much all of them have serious issues.

This game is incredibly frustrating this year.. I love the hitting and fielding but CPU just can’t hit, they suck plain and simple. Im about ready to call it with this years game and move on… it’s been a agonizing ride finding a competitive balance. I really hope they add a difficulty level beyond legend for pitching next year

I’ve tried contact at 10, timing at 10, solid hits at 10 and they still can’t hit if you locate and choose effective locations with your pitches. They also don’t punish my rare mistake pitches nearly enough IMO. What’s crazy is we are in November and still messing with sliders
Also puzzling they never did much with gameplay during patches this year, if anything they made pitching easier after the 3rd patch or so due to the online crowd

Try completely default legend, but turn USER pitch consistency down to 0 or 1. You will get absolutely crushed sometimes, but when you pitch a 4 hitter and give up 0 runs, it feels damn good.

I tried just tapping the x button when pitching and the Mets scored 20 runs off me lol.

How does one do 30 man control in a franchise?

I can explain it - been using 30 team control for years, but the best thing I can do is tell you to go look up Armor and Swords MLBTS 20 sliders thead.

He goes into detail how to set up 30-team control for franchise play.

Cliff notes version: Set up 1 profile for you and then a 2nd one for the cpu.
When you start a franchise assign the 29 other teams the cpu profile.

I've always just tapped X - personally, I don't notice a ton of difference in my in game results if I hold X down longer.....except stamina drains much faster.
