Do you guys still do the wind system ? Or just leave it at 5?

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I run it with a twist still. 0-10 and the it comes up at is what it is…so if it comes up 7 then slider is set to 7. Rinse and repeat at the start of the 5th.

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
Suggestions please.
I’m trying to implement some type of ejection system using a random number generator for argued calls at the plate and from the mound. Also the animations you see at first when a runner will throw his arms up due to thinking he beat the throw.
Right now I’m using a 1-100 scale, figuring it’s a low percentage of times it happening. So if the generator gives me 97-100 the player will be ejected. Should the percentage be a little higher, or should I drop it even more?

You could look up how many player ejection there were in 2022 season and take an average to get a percentage chance of one happening in a game. So if every game there was a 0.5% chance for an ejection you could implement that into a random number draw. 1-100 would be too low. It would have to be like 1-1000 or more or something. Then maybe like 990-1000 an ejection occurs that game. Then pick random player or wait for some emotion to happen during the game and he's gone. I never really thought of doing this so really have no idea. Just throwing out some randomness to think about lol.

Well since manager elections wouldn't make a difference in the game if they happened it would only be players you'd do this for right?

I like the idea and will be playing around with it. A player being ejected early in a game especially and if it’s a star player could really hurt a team.

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
We're trying to figure out what works best for us for user hitting. If you guys have a setup you're using that's been good feel free to share. We obviously don't want to have hitting too easy where we're always getting 10+ hits and 2HR+ every game.
We're trying raised contact with timing at 0. Solid hits at 3 still like the cpu. Also lowered our power to cut back on homeruns just a tad. So 7/4/0/3 with foul frequency 5 still.
If anyone is still seeing user hitting is too much try that. But end of the day, enjoy the game and enjoy as much offense you want!

So it would depend on how often that opportunity happens in a game.
There is one emotion that looks like the batter is wanting to hit the ump with the bat after he strikes out. I would say that is an ejection. Lol
In 2022, it looks like there were 62 player ejections. Out of 4,860 total games. That is 1.3%.
But I would say if you do 1-100 you could do 80-100?Follow me on Twitch

That would be a fun idea. There was an average of .03 player ejections per game in baseball in 2020.
So it would depend on how often that opportunity happens in a game.

I will start that range up when I fire the game back up shortly. Thanks brother, and will keep posted on how it’s working out.

You guys can start with raising cpu consistency. Their misses are way off target and easy to read and the HBP can be a little much at time which leads to lower confidence for the pitchers.
Also this year pitch speed is super slow so I recommend that you go anywhere 8-10. I personally like 8.
The other thing I’ve noticed while playing full games is that it’s a little too easy for the user to throw strikes. Especially early in the count. I’m usually up 0-2 a lot of the time and my final strike percentages after games are pretty high.
Just my two cents. Overall good sliders. Solid hits at 3 really opens up the hit varietyComment

Re: S & B’s Directional/Classic MLB 23 Sliders
I am seeing a wide variety of hits.
My last game had 2 CPU home runs.
I even had a triple for myself and I don't think I even had ONE for my Mets franchise last year.
I am getting a lot of warning track shots which is also good.
THE PART OF THE GAME I ENJOY THE MOST IS THE INFIELD PLAY.
The sliders have nailed the infield timing of the big leagues PERFECTLY. I said the same last year.
On a slow hit ground ball you had better hurry up and get rid of it to first. Especially if the batter has above average speed
I am seeing soft infield liners that drop in where you can't get the guy at first because the ball moved so slow.
I am seeing broken bat hits where the ball moves so slow the batter beats it out.
Lindor had 5 hits in my first game 2 of them never left the infield--one was a broken bat hit the other a ball to deep SS.
You can literally see the full spectrum of baseball in just one game.Comment
