Rmiok222 MLBTS 23 Legend Sliders

Here’s some screenshots from the end of my season. We won 92 games and took the division. We play Toronto in the WC round at home. Jose Ramirez finally won the AL MVP award. I’m extremely salty that Josh naylor didn’t get silver slugger for 1st base. He hit .303 with 48 HRs and 125 RBIs

@Rmiok222 - thank you for your hard work on these sliders! It's made the gameplay feel organic but challenging at the same time. I've enjoyed getting to follow your progress (and that of others) with the sliders as well!

I'm just now starting a Detroit Tigers rebuild with these as the base. I plan to post regular updates in the Franchise Mode Discussion thread but I'll keep you apprised on my journey as well!

Rmiok, how many times do you strike out per game, in average? I tried playing on Legend level, but I struck out minimum 10 times a game, so too much confidence for the pitcher and almost no home runs.

I went down to HOF for batting. So far, very less strikeouts, many more homeruns. Batting average, pretty much the same. So I don't know if I should stay on HOF, go back to Legend or change another slider.

Don't feel bad. I use these sliders for pitching and they're tremendous but for hitting I had to drop down from legend.

Hitting is very much user skill based. I’m finding default HOF to be perfect for me personally. Pitching on the other hand should be a little more universal as there’s a lot less variables in play for the user, especially when playing on classic.

I made that move as well (hitting HoF) and find it perfect. I just brought back my Timing to 5 instead of the inflated 6 to compensate for Legend difficulty.

Those sliders are perfect for Dir/Classic gameplay.

I average about 7-8 strikeouts per game. Batting camera has a lot to do with Ks in my opinion as well. I’m not sure what camera you use but I use catcher near.

I have never tried these on HOF but it looks like a few others have and have liked them. So stick with HOF if it’s working for you!

Thanks for the feedback. I also use Catcher near camera.

I will try TripleCrown advise and just put timing back at 5 for human on HoF. A little bit too many perfect-perfect contact in my opinion on HoF, so I average at least 2 homeruns per game, even with weaker teams against #1 starters.

Finished every pitch of every game in year one. Lost in game 6 of the ALCS to the Rays. Overall a successful season. Made some trades in the off season as well. This is how our team is looking heading into 2024.

- Traded Shane Bieber (93 overall) to St Louis for Jordan Walker and Dylan Carlson. Try to keep it realistic, Cleveland can’t pay 32 million per year to a pitcher.

- Traded Josh Bell to Miami for Khalil Watson

- Traded Danny Jansen to the Rays for prospects

- Traded two mid prospects to the angels for Taylor Ward

- Traded Aaron Civale to Rays for Tyler Manzaro

- Signed Cody Bellinger in free agency

- Signed Mitch Garver in free agency to platoon with Bo Naylor

- Signed Jack Flaherty in free agency

Overall very active off season, but I also did the trades Cleveland did in real life (Bell and Civale trades)

I’m going to toy around with madden 24 for a week or two and then come back to The Show to start season 2
