Is there any way to see the cpu pitcher’s energy level and his confidence in his pitches?

What’s up Burgess! I think the only way to see pitcher confidence is by calling a mound visit.

Ok. So I can’t see what the CPU pitcher’s energy and confidence are at during the game like we used to be able to in ‘20?

it's there....have to press pause and go to drop down menu and select (I think substitutions). Pitching stam will show up at top of screen right next to the score.

It's small so go slow, you are prob just missing it.

Or maybe you have something turned off in your options that are blocking it?

That's is what I was just thinking, because I know I purposefully turned mine off so that i couldn't see it.

I don't mind it so much still affecting my pitcher. But I don't want the visual reminder there affecting me, and my judgement.

Yep. And by the way Armor, thanks again to you and Ren for putting in the time on the clean screen setup and testing. Probably the only real difference I have to do in regards to the clean screen part, I enjoy playing with the strike zone ON. On the one hand I do like the minimalist Spartan approach but at the same time I do like me a little bit of gimmicky video game gadgetry goodness too. Not too much, just a dash and a pinch. Otherwise clean screen is the way to go in my opinion.

Thank you!! I am really enjoying these sliders. Each individual at bat, both offense and defense is a challenge. This makes the game within the game so much fun. It is rewarding to succeed. It has taken me some time to get used to Retro view while hitting, but once I settled, it is much easier to see pitches out of the zone and then lay off them.

These slider sets are great!

I play a little differently with 30-team control, were I control the pitching staffs for both teams (I'm too impatient at the plate) while throwing every pitch and I use the catcher API. The variety of outcomes is fun as I had a Padres-Rockies game end with San Diego scoring 12 runs and bashing 20+ hits, next game the Mets & Brewers head to extras tied at 3-3 and ended in the 12th inning with the Mets winning 5-4, and my most recent contest had the White Sox top the Giants 1-0 with both teams having five hits apiece!

Haven’t played in months. Fired up these sliders and the ‘98 rosters. Orioles at Yankees exhibition in an October night game at the Old Stadium.

Mussina and Cone on the bump.

Cone has a no-hitter through 8 innings while Mussina has shut me out through 7. It’s the bottom of the 8th and I know I need to score here. Bernie lines a one out single up the middle. With 3 lefties coming up, they pull Moose.
2 outs, O’Neil singles to center and Bernie to 3rd. Tino chops a single just out of Palmeiro’s reach at first to score Bernie. Knoblauch singles up the middle to pad a 2-0 lead. The writing is on the wall…

Bottom 9, top of the order coming up. Alomar hits a hard liner to the wall that O’Neil barely grabs. Baines flies out to left. 1 out to go. First pitch outside fastball to Palmeiro, who lines it just inside the third base line to kill the 8.2 inning no hitter. Giving Cone the chance to get the last out, Eric Davis drills a hanging slider into the left field bleachers to tie it. Mariano in to get the last out.

Bottom 9, Posada hits a double to the wall in right center, advances to third on a wild pitch, and with the infield in, Jeter smokes a single just past the shortstop. Ballgame.

An exhibition instant classic!

Armor, I am sure struggling on pitching with the Braves pitching staff that is supposed to be a better staff. Don’t know if it is a rut or not but in the last 20 games they are hitting .339 and averaging 13 hits a game. The lowest was 8 and that was against the Athletics. This last game the Dbacks had 24 hits. They are mostly killing me with doubles and singles.

I have tried to lower cpu power to 5 but I feel like that makes their ball off the bat too weak. I have tried lowering solid hits to 4 but it feels off. Tried raising my consistency to 6 bit I feel like I hit my spots too often.

Any ideas on what can tone down their offense without breaking their offense?

Are you using version 2 where we moved pitch control back to default?

If so keep soldiering. I had a horrendous month with my Yankees Year 1 and am now settling down in the month of June.

15-4 in my last 19 and my pitching is a big reason. Also don't be afraid to walk guys.

The ebbs and flows are insane and the sliders are tough no doubt.

The CPU is formidable. Especially very good offensive teams!

I hear ya Bryan. I am struggling but also. Lost Cole in my first regular season game fir 2 months and most lost Stroman in my last game. Here come the story lines!

I will check to see if my pitch control is at default like Armor states in his reply . Other than that I will keep grinding. I called up German to replace Cole and Gil to replace Stroman. Good luck brother !
