Yea I'm at 20 games in with my franchise. Hit 7 HR's in my last game vs Atlanta ( I'm playing as the Rangers ) . I know the Rangers have a powerful offense so I was kinda just letting it slide for a while but feel like I'm just hitting too many. Love your sliders, just trying to tone down the HR's a bit.

Re: TNK MLB 24 SLIDERS
Are you consistently hitting more homers than you feel like you should be? Are you leading the league as a team in HR?Yea I'm at 20 games in with my franchise. * If you are leading the league in team HR especially by a decent margin.....then that's good way to validate what you think about making an adjustment
What setting are you using for the hitting mechanism? Are you using POWER SWING or GUESS PITCH at all?
* I never use POWER SWING and I never guess the pitch.....just simply aim (I use ZONE hitting) and do a normal swing with X button
Some other thoughts:
* You can also consider making a slight adjustment to the CPU pitching sliders as well
* My advice once you start tweaking things is to keep a note about what you adjusted and keep the adjustments to a minimum, don't edit more than 1 or 2 slider settings one or two clicks. You never know when a change to one slider is gonna throw off some other slider, then next thing you know you're editing all kinds of stuff and are nowhere near the original base slider setComment

The Red Sox blew the game open against Richard Lovelady with 2 outs in the top of the 7th as Garrett Cooper knocked in two runs with a RBI double and Dominic Smith followed with his 2nd HR of the night on an opposite field 2-run HR to LF making it 9-1. Re: TNK MLB 24 SLIDERS

TNK - BOSTON RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #51 of Season
Milwaukee Brewers (17-33) @ Boston Red Sox (33-17)
Pitching Matchup – Freddy Peralta (3-4, 3.90 ERA) vs Brayan Bello (2-3, 2.90 ERA)
The Red Sox and Brewers begin a 3 game series at Fenway Park between teams having polar opposite seasons through the first 50 games as the Red Sox lead the AL East with a 33-17 while the Brewers are in last place in the NL Central with a 17-33 record. Brayan Bello will be on the mound for Boston while Freddy Peralta gets the start for Milwaukee
Brayan Bello was through 2 scoreless innings on the mound for Boston while the Red Sox put two men on in the bottom of the 2nd inning and Ceddanne Rafaela hit a deep drive to LF with 2 outs but Christian Yelich would get back and reach up to make the catch against the green monster to end the threat and send the game to the 3rd inning tied 0-0. Bello recorded 3 Ks in the top of the 3rd stranding a pair of Brewers on the bases while Peralta struck out Tyler O'Neill to strand Duran in scoring position ending the 3rd and sending the game to the 4th with the score tied 0-0. Bello (7 ks through 6 innings) and Peralta (6 Ks through 6 innings) were locked in a heck of a pitchers duel as the game remained scoreless and we would head to the 7th inning tied 0-0. Bello recorded his 8th K of the night in a 1-2-3 top of the 7th and the Red Sox were threatening in the bottom of the 7th after Vaughn Grissom ripped a ball down the third base line for a 1 out double. Peralta got out of the jam as Reese McGuire popped out for the 2nd out and Ceddanne Rafaela smoked a line drive to the left side but it was right at Joey Ortiz who snared the liner for the 3rd out ending the 7th and sending the game to the 8th inning locked in a 0-0 tie. Bello was at 83 pitches as he returned for the top of the 8th and Rhys Hoskins led off with a deep drive over the head of Abreu in RF for a ground rule double. Bello came right back and struck out the next 3 batters all looking for his 9th, 10th and 11th Ks of the ball game as he froze Sal Frelick with a changeup and then locked up Joey Ortiz with a slider before Blake Perkins went down looking at a changeup on the corner and the score remains tied 0-0. Peralta returned to the mound at 78 pitches to begin the bottom of the 8th for Milwaukee and retired the side striking out Abreu to end the inning and send the game to the 9th with the score still tied 0-0. Brennan Bernardino came on to pitch with two lefties due up for Milwaukee in the top of the 9th and Brice Turang would beat out a ground ball up the middle that Hamilton showed great range to get to for a lead off single but he would attempt to steal second base and was gunned down on a perfect throw from McGuire. Bernardino would K Contreras and Yelich would ground out to Grissom to the end the frame and we would move to the bottom of the 9th with the Red Sox coming up with a chance to walk off with a victory. Hoby Milner came on to pitch the bottom of the 9th for the Brewers with Tyler O'Neill, Rafael Devers and Dominic Smith due up for Boston. Milner retired O'Neill on a ground ball to Adames bringing up Rafael Devers who hit a deep drive to CF sending Perkins back and he would make the catch up against the wall for a loud 2nd out. Garrett Cooper came out to pinch hit for Smith with the lefty on the mound and Milner would get him to hit a lazy fly ball to Yelich sending the game to extra innings still with no score as we were tied 0-0. Bernardino recorded 2 outs with the extra innings runner still stuck at second base before Chris Martin came in to face Hoskins with 2 outs. Martin had two strikes on Hoskins but couldn't put him away as Hoskins shot a slider back up the middle for a RBI single giving Milwaukee a 1-0 lead. Frelick grounded out to Grissom to end the top of the 10th and the Brewers would have their closer Devin Williams coming on to pitch the bottom of the 10th looking to close it out. Brice Turang made a nice play ranging to his right to take a hit away from Grissom leading off the bottom of the 10th but Cooper would advance to third base as the extra inning runner. Reese McGuire would drive in Cooper with a RBI sac fly to deep LF tying the game up 1-1. Williams would strikeout Rafaela sending the game to the 11th tied at 1-1. Martin retired the side in the top of the 11th striking out Turang looking on a back door cutter and the Red Sox would have the speedy Rafaela as the runner on second base to start the bottom of the 11th. David Hamilton tried to bunt Rafaela over but he popped up the bunt attempt for the 1st out. Williams struck out Duran and Abreu to get out of the inning and we would head to the 12th tied 1-1. Yelich dropped a bloop single into LF putting runners on the corners with 1 out in the top of the 12th for Willy Adames. Martin located a sinker perfectly low and away to Adames getting him to hit the ball on the ground to Cooper at first base starting a huge inning ending 3-6-3 double play as Martin escapes and the Brewers blow a golden opportunity as the score remains tied 1-1. Joel Payamps was on to pitch for Milwaukee and retired O'Neill and Devers bringing up Garrett Cooper who jumped on a first pitch fastball driving it high and deep to CF and Perkins had no play as the ball hit high off the CF wall and Abreu came home with the winning run as Cooper delivers a wall off RBI single to give the Red Sox a dramatic 2-1 win in 12 innings

Re: TNK MLB 24 SLIDERS

TNK - BOSTON RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #53 of Season

Milwaukee Brewers 17-35) @ Boston Red Sox 35-17)
Pitching Matchup – Bryse Wilson (0-0, 3.00 ERA) vs Cooper Criswell (4-1, 3.09 ERA)
The Red Sox and Brewers get ready to play the 3rd and final game of this 3 game series at Fenway Park with the Red Sox looking to complete the 3 game sweep of the Brewers. Cooper Criswell gets the starts for Boston while Bryse Wilson will be on the mound for Milwaukee
The Brewers jumped out to an early lead as Willy Adames lined a RBI single to CF and Jake Bauers hit a deep drive over the head of Wilyer Abreu in RF that bounced into the bullpen for a RBI ground rule double as Milwaukee took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st. Bryse Wilson was making his 1st start after pitching primarily out of the bullpen this season and was through two innings with Milwaukee leading 2-0 as we would head to the 3rd inning. Criswell pitched a scoreless top of the 3rd and Wilson retired the first two batters in the bottom of the 3rd before Tyler O'Neill singled and Rafael Devers crushed a 419 foot blast down the RF foul line that just stayed fair for a 2-run HR tying the game 2-2. The Red Sox put two men in scoring position after Reese McGuire doubled with nobody out in the bottom of the 4th but Wilson would escape the jam as he retired Rafaela and Hamilton before Rob Refsnyder hit a line drive towards the gap in right-center but Blake Perkins would make a nice running catch to take away extra bases and end the 4th inning with the score tied 2-2. The Brewers took advantage of an error by Refsnyder in LF to put runners on the corners with nobody out for Milwaukee in the top of the 5th. Criswell would get a huge K as Turang went down looking at a back door slider before getting Contreras to ground into a big 4-6-3 inning ending double play as Criswell escapes a jam of his own and the score remains tied 2-2. The Red Sox took the lead in the bottom of the 5th when Wilson tried to sneak a fastball past Devers who turned on it and hit a rocket into the Brewers bullpen for a 2-run HR giving Boston a 4-2 lead. Christian Yelich drew a lead off walk to begin the top of the 6th but Criswell would get some help from his defense as Enmanuel Valdez made a diving stop at second base to start a beautiful 4-6-3 double play to retire Adames. Criswell would strikeout Rhys Hoskins on a nasty slider to end the top of the 6th with Boston leading 4-2. Bryan Hudson came on an pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the 6th for Milwaukee to send the game to the 7th inning with Boston leading 4-2. Criswell was at 75 pitches as he returned for the top of the 7th and Sal Frelick lined a lead off single to CF and Ortiz followed with a single to put two men on with nobody out. Perkins laid down a perfect sac bunt to move the runners into scoring position with 1 out and Greg Weissert would come in to take over on the mound for Boston. Weissert would blow a 96 mph fastball past Turang for a big K for the 2nd out bringing up William Contreras with runners on 2nd & 3rd and 2 outs. Weissert would strikeout Contreras on a slider away and the Brewers strand a pair in scoring position and the score remains 4-2. Joel Payamps retired the side in order in the bottom of the 7th sending the game to the 8th inning with the Red Sox leading 4-2. Weissert returned to the mound and Yelich led off the top of the 8th with a single to RF and Willy Adames followed by fouling off several two strike pitches to stay alive before Weissert left a slider over the plate and Adames launched it over the green monster in LF for a two run HR to tie the game at 4-4. Chris Martin took over for Weissert on the mound and would get out of the inning with no further damage and Hoby Milner would come on to pitch the bottom of the 8th for Milwaukee. Garrett Cooper pinch hit for Dominic Smith with 1 out in the bottom of the 8th but Milner would retire the side and send the game to the 9th inning with the score tied 4-4. Brad Keller came on to pitch the top of the 9th for Boston and gave up a lead off double to Perkins. Keller came back with a K of Turang before Contreras was able to punch a ground ball through the right side into LF and Perkins would beat the throw home form Abreu to give the Brewers a 5-4 lead. Keller would record back to back Ks as he struck out Yelich and Adames both looking to avoid any further damage and we would head to the bottom of the 9th with the Brewers now leading 5-4. Devin Williams came on to pitch the bottom of the 9th looking to close it out and record the save for Milwaukee. McGuire flew out to Perkins in CF for the 1st out. Ceddanne Rafaela was up next and he turned on a fastball up in the zone and lined a rocket into the green monster seats for a game tying solo HR knotting things up at 5-5. Rob Refsnyder yanked a double into the LF corner with 2 outs to put the potential winning run in scoring position for Wilyer Abreu but Williams would strike him out to end the 9th and send the game to extra innings tied 5-5. The Brewers failed to drive in the extra innings runner in the top of the 10th as Josh Winckowski recorded a pair of Ks and the Red Sox would have a chance to walk off in the bottom of the 10th as they had Abreu on second base to begin the inning with O'Neill, Devers and Cooper due up. Abreu was doubled off on a line drive by O'Neill as Ortiz made the catch and threw to second before Abreu could get back and Williams struck out Devers as the Red Sox blow the opportunity and we play on to the 11th inning tied 5-5. Ortiz moved Frelick up to 3rd base to begin the top of the 11th before Winckowski struck out Perkins and Turang would fly out to Abreu in RF as Milwaukee fails to score and the Red Sox would have another chance in the bottom of the 11th with the score tied 5-5. Kevin Herget was on to pitch for Milwaukee and Cooper led off the bottom of the 11th with a liner into LF for a single but Devers was held at third base and Boston had the winning run 90 feet away with nobody out. Valdez bounced into a fielders choice as Devers was forced to hold and the Brewers took the out at second base bringing up Reese McGuire with runners on the corners and 1 out. McGuire drew a walk loading the bases for Rafaela who jumped on the first pitch and just missed a walk off grand slam as the ball hooked foul down the LF line. Rafaela got a fastball up in the zone a couple pitches later and this time he didn't miss as he launched a rocket over the green monster in left-center for a walk off grand slam

Cole Irvin and Nick Pivetta were both pitching well early on and the game was scoreless through 3 innings and we would head to the 4th inning with the score tied 0-0. The Red Sox opened the scoring in the top of the 4th as Rafael Devers drew a lead off walk and came in to score all the way from first base when Connor Wong smoked a ball off the wall in left-center for a RBI double giving Boston a 1-0 lead. Bobby Dalbec followed with a rocket over the head of Cowser in LF for a RBI double making it 2-0. Ceddanne Rafaela made it 3-0 with a liner to CF for a RBI single and Rob Refsnyder would blow the game open with 2 outs as he ripped a line drive to LF that got past Cowser and rolled all the way to the wall for a big RBI triple that scored two runs making it 5-0. Irvin would exit as he fails to get out of the inning as Keegan Akin came in from the pen to take over on the mound for Baltimore. Pivetta retired the Orioles in order in the bottom of the 4th sending the game to the 5th inning with Boston leading 5-0. The Red Sox added a run on a RBI double by Bobby Dalbec in the top of the 5th and Pivetta pitched another scoreless frame in the bottom of the 5th to send the game to the 6th with the Red Sox up 6-0. Pivetta reached the 100 pitch mark in the top of the 6th and retired the first two batters before Adley Rutschman singled and Anthony Santander followed with a rocket over the head of Refsnyder in RF scoring Rutschman all the way from first base for a RBI double to put Baltimore on the board and cut the deficit to 6-1. Gunnar Henderson was up next and Pivetta would finish his outing by getting Henderson to ground out to Rafaela to end the inning and we would move to the 7th with Boston leading 6-1. Cionel Perez pitched a 1-2-3 top of the 7th for Baltimore and Brad Keller would take over on the mound for Boston and pitch a scoreless bottom of the 7th sending the game to the 8th with the Red Sox up 6-1. Dalbec hit a solo HR off Bryan Baker in the top of the 8th to extend the Sox lead to 7-1. Keller retired Westburg to begin the bottom of the 8th before Mountcastle drew a walk and came around to score on a RBI double by Adley Rutschman making it 7-2 with 1 out. Gunnar Henderson knocked in Rutschman with a RBI single with 2 outs cutting the deficit to 7-3. Keller would K Urias looking on a slider to end the 8th and send the game to the 9th inning with Boston leading 7-3. Jacob Webb pitched a scoreless top of the 9th and the Orioles would come to bat in the bottom of the 9th trailing 7-3 with Justin Slaten coming on to pitch the bottom of the 9th for Boston with a 4 run lead and Kenley Jansen getting loose in the bullpen should Baltimore start to rally. Slaten retired O'Hearn and Cowser on a pair of ground ball outs and the Orioles were down to their final out with Kyle Stowers coming up to hit. Stowers hit a soft liner to shallow LF and Rafaela would show good range at SS getting back to make a running catch to end the game and the Red Sox take the opener of the series 7-3

The Red Sox and Orioles are set to play the 2nd game of this 3 game series at Camden Yards between the top two teams in the AL East Standings after the 1st place Red Sox won the opener yesterday to extend their lead to 2.5 games over the 2nd place Orioles. The Red Sox jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st when Bradish left a fastball up and over the plate to Tyler O'Neill who launched a 2-run HR over the wall in LF for his 10th HR of the season. Baltimore had two men on with nobody out in the bottom of the 2nd after singles by Urias and O'Hearn but Tanner Houck would get Mountcastle to ground into a double play and then struck out Cowser to end the inning stranding Urias at third base and the score remained 2-0 after 2 innings. The score remained 2-0 into the bottom of the 4th where Baltimore would put two men on with nobody out after a pair of singles by Henderson and Urias. Houck struck out O'Hearn bringing up Mountcastle and the runners would advance on a pitch in the dirt putting runners on 2nd & 3rd with 1 out and Colton Cowser would deliver as he went opposite field dropping a soft liner in along the LF foul line for a RBI double as Henderson and Urias score tying the game 2-2. Bradish pitched a scoreless top of the 5th and Baltimore threatened in the bottom of the 5th after Santander doubled with 2 outs but Houck struck out Henderson looking to escape the jam and send the game to the 6th tied 2-2. Bradish and Houck would throw scoreless frames in the 6th and we moved to the 7th inning tied 2-2. Dominic Smith led off the top of the 7th with a double on a deep drive to RF where Santander made a leaping attempt at the wall but couldn't hang on for the catch. Bradish would exit as Dillon Tate came in from the pen to take over on the mound with nobody out. Tate did a fantastic job striking out Wong, Dalbec and Valdez to strand Smith at second base and keep the score tied 2-2. The Orioles would take the lead in the bottom of the 7th as James McCann led off with a bloop single and Cedric Mullins followed with a rocket in the gap in right-center for a RBI double putting Baltimore up 3-2. Brennan Bernardino came in to a tough spot as Baltimore had runners on the corners and nobody out and Santander drove in Mullins with a sac fly to LF making it 4-2. Bernardino would get Henderson to bounce into a 6-4-3 inning ending double play sending the game to the 8th inning with the Orioles now leading 4-2. Danny Coulombe came on to pitch the top of the 8th for Baltimore and Jarren Duran would single with 1 out and steal second base but Coulombe would strikeout Refsnyder and Abreu to get out of the inning with the 4-2 lead intact. Ryan O'Hearn hit a solo HR off Greg Weissert in the bottom of the 8th extending the Orioles lead to 5-2. Craig Kimbrel came on to pitch the top of the 9th looking to close it out and record the save for Baltimore with O'Neill, Smith and Wong due up for Boston. Santander made a nice running catch deep in the RF corner for the 1st out and Smith would strikeout and the Red Sox were down to their final out with Connor Wong coming up. Kimbrel struck out Wong to end the game and the Orioles win 5-2

Re: TNK MLB 24 SLIDERS

TNK - BOSTON RED SOX FRANCHISE
Game #56 of Season

Boston Red Sox (37-18) @ Baltimore (35-19)
Pitching Matchup – Brayan Bello (2-3, 2.59 ERA) vs Dean Kremer (7-1, 2.27 ERA)
The Red Sox and Orioles will play the rubber match of this 3 game series at Camden Yards between the top two teams in the AL East Standings after the 1st place Red Sox and 2nd place Orioles split the first 2 games of the series and the Orioles are just 1.5 games back of the Red Sox. Brayan Bello is on the mound for Boston Dean Kremer makes the start for Baltimore in what should be a very good pitching matchup

Dean Kremer and Brayan Bello cruised through the first 2 innings on the mound and we were scoreless until the Red Sox offense exploded in the top of the 3rd as Ceddanne Rafaela lined a ball into the LF corner for a lead off double and David Hamilton followed with a liner into CF for a RBI single putting the Sox up 1-0. Wilyer Abreu came up a couple batters later and turned on a fastball down and in driving it over the wall in RF for a 2-run HR making it 3-0. Masataka Yoshida was in the lineup for Boston after missing the last 25 games to injury and Kremer would leave a cutter up and over the plate to Yoshida who absolutely crushed it 452 feet for a 2-run HR to blow the game open as the Red Sox have exploded for 5 runs and take a 5-0 lead. Bello made quick work of the Orioles with a 1-2-3 bottom of the 3rd and we would head to the 4th inning with Boston leading 5-0. Bello retired the side in order in the bottom of the 4th as the Orioles were still searching for their first hit of the ball game and we would move to the 5th inning with the Red Sox leading 5-0. Keegan Akin replaced Kremer on the mound with two men on and 1 out in the top of the 5th and Akin would record the final two outs of the frame to get out of the jam and keep it a 5-0 ball game. Bello recorded the 1st out in the bottom of the 5th before Jordan Westburg dropped a ball in down the LF line for a double for the Orioles 1st hit of the night. Colton Cowser followed with a ground ball through the left side into LF for a RBI single as Baltimore gets on the board and now trails 5-1. Bello would freeze Mullins with a slider for a big K and Urias grounded out to end the 5th sending the game to the 6th inning with Boston leading 5-1. Akin struck out Hamilton to end the top of the 6th stranding Rafaela at third base keeping it a 5-1 game. The Orioles were threatening in the bottom of the 6th after Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman led off with back to back singles to put two on with nobody out. Bello would get out of the jam as he blew a 98 mph fastball past Ryan Mountcastle for a big K before retiring Ryan O'Hearn and Anthony Santander on a pair of routine fly balls to get through the 6th and send the game to the 7th inning with the Red Sox leading 5-1. The Red Sox put runners on the corners against Cionel Perez with 2 outs for Yoshida in the top of the 7th and Yoshida would hit the ball hard on the ground but O'Hearn made a nice play at first base to field it and step on the bag to end the threat keeping it a 5-1 game. Bello was at 83 pitches as he returned to the mound for the bottom of the 7th and struck out Westburg before Cowser drew a 1 out walk. Bello came back with a big K of Mullins who went down looking at a changeup away for the 2nd out and Bello would finish off his outing by freezing Urias with a nasty slider for his 6th K ending the 7th and sending the game to the 8th inning with Boston leading 5-1. The Red Sox put two men on in the top of the 8th with 2 outs for Jarren Duran against Bryan Baker who fell behind 3 & 0 in the count and Duran got the green light to swing on the 3 & 0 pitch and Duran lined a rocket deep down the RF line and the ball looked like it was going to hook foul but struck the foul pole for a big 3-run HR blowing the game open 8-1. Chris Martin retired the Orioles in the bottom of the 8th sending the game to the 9th with Boston up 8-1. The Red Sox would strand a runner in scoring position in the top of the 9th and Baltimore would come up to bat trailing 8-1 in the bottom of the 9th with Zack Kelly on to pitch for Boston. Kelly made quick work of O'Hearn and Santander and the Orioles were down to their final out with Jordan Westburg stepping to plate. Westburg hit a soft liner to Smith at first base who made the catch and the Red Sox win
GAME NOTES
* The Red Sox win the series taking 2 out of 3 against the Orioles by winning the rubber match by a score of 8-1 behind a strong pitching performance from Brayan Bello and some timely HRs from Wilyer Abreu, Masataka Yoshida and Jarren Duran to carry the offense
* The Red Sox improve to 38-18 while the Orioles fall to 35-20 on the season and Baltimore slips back to 2.5 games back of the Red Sox for 1st place in the AL East
* Masataka Yoshida was back in the lineup for the 1st time since May 1st after missing 25 games to injury and Yoshida returned with a bang as he crushed a 452 foot bomb in his 2nd at bat and would finish the game 2 for 5 with a double, HR & 2 RBI. Yoshida is hoping to get his season on track now that he is healthy and is now hitting .210 with 3 HR & 10 RBI on the season
* Wilyer Abreu went 3 for 5 with a HR & 2 RBI and is now hitting .237 with 5 HR & 15 RBI on the season while Jarren Duran went 1 for 5 with a 3-run HR and a stolen base. Duran is now hitting .263 with 6 HR & 22 RBI and 12 stolen bases on the season
* Rafael Devers was back in the lineup after getting the day off yesterday and Devers went 2 for 5 with a pair of singles. Devers is hitting .341 with 11 HR & 28 RBI over his last 21 games and is hitting .311 with 29 HR & 54 RBI on the season
* Brayan Bello was excellent for Boston as he pitched 7 strong innings allowing 1 run on 3 hits with 2 walks & 6 Ks on 105 pitches and earned the win to improve to 3-3 with a 2.48 ERA on the season
* Dean Kremer came into the game with a 7-1 record and a 2.72 ERA but the Red Sox knocked him around with all the damage coming in the 3rd inning as Kremer lasted just 4.1 innings allowing 5 runs on 8 hits with 2 Ks as he took the loss and falls to 7-2 with a 2.74 ERA
* The Red Sox activated LF Masataka Yoshida prior to the game as he returns from injury after missing the last 25 games. The Red Sox designated 1B Garrett Cooper for assignment to make room on the active roster for Yoshida
* The DFA of Garrett Cooper means that Dominic Smith will take over as the everyday first baseman until Triston Casas returns. Casas has been out of action since May 2nd missing the last 24 games and is on track to be back in the lineup at some point in June as he hopes to begin a rehab assignment in the next couple weeks
* The Red Sox called up RP Zack Kelly from AAA Worcester and sent Josh WInckowski down as the Red Sox want him to work on adding another pitch to his repertoire
* The Red Sox return home to Boston where they will open a 4 game series tomorrow at Fenway Park with the Detroit Tigers. The Tigers have been one of the biggest surprises in MLB surpassing expectations as they are currently 27-28 on the season and sitting in 2nd place in the AL Central just 3.5 games back of the 1st place Minnesota Twins. Kutter Crawford makes the start for Boston while Tarik Skubal starts the opener for Detroit
