I'm rolling with the Orioles this year. That roster is loaded with young talent.

      That’s what I’m leaning towards.

The power boost coupled with lowering contact has really brought the cpu back to life. They’re scarier to pitch too which means more walks too.

        Good job

I forget the roster name but the user name is “strictlysports20” and it is version 5. It really doesn’t matter what roster but I found that one in the vault and liked it.

Has there been a patch I missed that changed the hitting engine, because this game has not been fun at all my last few series. I thought maybe I was the problem, and my team was just slumping, but I’ve played several games with three different teams now and hits are almost nonexistent for me.

I’m getting a ton of good pitches to hit too, but everything is weak contact and softly hit on the ground or a fly ball to the outfield. It’s like I’m playing two different games, and if I’m being honest, the new one is a steaming pile of ****.

May be time for a break, but I don’t really want to go down that road yet as I did so last year and never came back.

I’d say you’re slumping to be honest. I played a whole season last year and there were stretches when I hit like .200 over a span of 12 games. Then bam, slumps gone. Try changing your hitting camera, you’d be shocked how a change of perspective could help.

The show actually does a very good job of emulating hot and cold streaks in my opinion. I played last night and had 14 hits, so unless there was a patch since then..I’d say you’re slumping.

Anyone experiencing a lot of misses with good timing? I feel like all my hits come from early, late and occasional perfect-perfect swings. Good timing swings are mostly swings&misses, resulting in a lot of strikeouts when behind in the count as I'm not able to protect the plate at all even with a good timing and also, not able to use my opportunities with pitches down in the middle. I feel like this is more game related thing rather than sliders but I'm little bit lost when I should swing as good timing is giving me bad results.

Anyone else notice that there are never any errors since the latest patch? My team has yet to make an error through 16 games

I’ve definitely noticed more perfect timing misses as well. I actually play with swing feedback off, but I can tell when I missed and timed it perfect because the hitter points at his bat like there’s a hole in it lol

It’s been brutal. Never struggled so much offensively in all the years I’ve played this game.

It feels soooo close! I am really caught between CPU contact and power at 6/6 and 5/6. I’ve been rolling with 6/6 because I feel like everything is earned. However, I can be up 8-0 (most recent game) as the rays over the blue jays. Suddenly the Blue Jays go off for 6 runs and are unstoppable. That is frustrating! But, if it’s at 5/6 then it kinda feels too easy at times. My question is, does anyone get a great challenge from the cpu at 5/6? I may just be experiencing hot pitching in the moment. I wanna kinda hear about your experiences with it at 6/6 versus 5/6 or 6/5. Regardless, legend is the way to go for pitching. Just trying to dial it in

I’m also playing without feedback and like you said, you can feel when the timing is good but it’s a miss. Sometimes I go and check the replay and it’s excellent timing but the bat is missing the ball sometimes by quite a lot and sometimes by only couple millimetres.

It’s certainly a contact or timing issue for sure.

With what I have in the OP the twins ran McKenzie out of the game in 1.2 innings and he had 7 earned runs lol
