Lower contact to 5

raise Foul Frequency to 4

Increase pitch speeds to 8,9 or 10


So the first thing I would do is simply raise the pitch speed from 7 to 8 and go from there.....if you take it to 10 you are definitely going to be challenged.

If 10 is not doing it for you.....keep it at 10 then lower contact to 5.

Do you think Timing hitting versus Directional has anything to do with it?

Got it installed tonight. Will prolly look to start my braves franchise up once we get a little closer to knowing how their opening day roster will be.

@Armor - using 30 team control with everything set to auto for the CPU (but lineups), have you noticed the CPU controlled teams ever resting players or do they roll out the same lineup everyday unless you step in and manually change them?

Hey armor, I’ve played three full games and noticed that the manager will yank out the pitcher too quickly. For example, the pitcher will have 9k’s, around 60-70 pitches, 0 earned runs, and hit me and the manager takes him out. Other than that everything else is great. What is your opinion on dynamic difficulty? The idea is great but I’m not sure if it works as intended.

I don't know if you read the whole thread but I am observing the new bullpen logic and for the most part it works great.....but I also noticed an early hook on a guy dealing.

Keep in mind you don't know if they were tiring....third time thru the order...and the modern game is so bullpen heavy....it's really reflecting todays managers and analytic heavy approach for better or for worse.

I am looking into for #1 and #2 starters that are known studs to drop the hook to 4 and then once they are pulled going back to 5.

So stay tuned for that potential dynamic in game slider update.

I don't use dynamic difficulty.....I disable it by having it on neutral default 5.

HOF/HOF on 25 is perfect for me. I tried Legend classic pitching and.....yeah nope. On 24 totally different story.

They tuned legend back to older legend and HOF is back to where it was pre 24 for me.

Playing lasts night against SD, they pulled Joe Musgrove in the top of the 4th, I was up 3-1 and his pitch count wasn't that high. I'll keep an eye on that for my next game. They have 6 starters on their MLB roster and a fully rested LRP. Not sure if that's why Musgrove was pulled or not.

Yes you can but the baserunner windows are no associated with the base running windows.

If you use auto running purely and do not want any ability to control baserunners then turn off the "baserunner diamond". Whatever happens will happen.

However if you are like me and like to step in to send a runner or steal a bag and override the CPU because they are not doing what I would LOL......you can't turn that off or you will be flying blind running the bases.

So it's up to you.

They made this change awhile bag and I never understood that design decision tying the runner diamond to the base runner windows.

I knew I would find bullpen advice in here! I remember in in the past the CPU would turn to the same few relievers game after game after game. There was a work around to that, I think it was putting the lowest rated MRP into the LRP spots or something. Do we still have to do that? I'm only in the second game of the season and so far it seems to be improved.

Might we have to increase SP stamina by 10 again? Or is this issue for simmed games as well?

One idea immediately comes to mind:

If the opposing SP has a 80+ overall AND 80 + stamina move slider hook to 4 before the game (and then back to 5 when a RP is brought in).

If the opposing SP has a 90+ overall AND 90 + stamina move slider hook to 3 before the game (and then back to 5 when a RP is brought in).

***assuming of course tweaking sliders mid-game doesn't compromise anything.

Yeah we don’t have to do that dance with bullpens assigments. We don’t have to screw around with ratings.

This will all be Manager Hook driven if I come out and say if x y z happens move hook to 4 mid game etc…

The bullpen logic so far is working great. The only thing I am observing and labbing is the hool on starters. In particularly when you have a starter dealing and about to go thru it’s third time thru the order.
