The program we use to edit is called goldwave and it has equalizer funcitionality if you wanted to give it a try.

Same issue here. Menu music comes through no problem, but in-game stadium sound is very quiet. I loaded in tons of SOTS stuff and can barely hear them. Kinda feel I'm wasting my time with SOTS. Had the same problem with '16 and was hopeful the issue was fixed because one of the dev streams even talked about how they increased levels by 30%. Not hearing it.

You can also get lower game sounds when in a party chat. When I'm in one, I have the slider on the PS4 set to 'party sounds', moreso than 'game sounds' and that lowers the sound of the actual game itself.

This solved the problem. Thanks man!

Turn off reverb in options, but also go to 'team specific" stadium sounds and turn all to broadcast and not stadium. Just hit triangle to change.

Sound is fantastic now, hope this helps those having sound issues.

That works okay for me if I only use the music that comes with The Show. Anything that I have imported for batter walkup's and pitcher entrances sounds like a pile of crap, and there's no option to change wallkup to "broadcast". Just to hear my imported walkup music at all, I have to have the volume slider up high enough to blast out my ears whenever any "broadcast" type music plays.

I am torn between saying the heck with SOTS this year or saying the heck with MLB 17 and going back to 16. As I'm sure the guys who do all the sound packs can attest, its a crap ton of work just to do SOTS for all the teams on a personal level. I can't even imagine the work that goes into making packs for everyone to use. I'm so disappointed

Edit for P.S. - I am nearly certain that when the developers said they raised the volume of SOTS by 20%, that it only applies to the music that comes with the game, not anything imported by a user.

I can completely understand where your coming from. Theres a problem coming from somewhere that i dont fully understand. Heres what I mean.

1.On my bedroom setup i have my 4k tv but because its a smaller room i use a Yamaha surround sound with 5 speakers but its cheaper. Cost me $500. Sounds amazing this year and forsure the sounds are %20 louder for sony supplied as well as the packs we made. Last year i posted sound settings because they were really low. This year i dont have to.

              2. Because i game mostly in bed beside my wife while she sIeeps I bought the sony platinum headphones with 3d audio and mlb preset that you can load on to the headset. Sounds phenomenal and has become my prefered method to play.

              3. I have a 100inch projector in my basement and its where we mostly watch movies but i also have a ps4 down there but i rarely use it because its only a 720p projector. Its awesome for movies though so i have my $2000 panasonic home theatre hooked up there. SOTS is a problem on that one for some reason and it really makes no sense because its my premium sound setup. Like i said before i messed around last year and figured it out so it was better but i havent messed around this year yet and i forget exactly what i did but if i do figure out a setting ill let you know.

Basically i think its a problem with certain set ups. Which sucks and i wish i could help more but its probably something hard for SDS to fix because of the variety of systems people use.

I dont know your budget and it is alot of money bit if you feel like you could afford them, i highly recommend the platinum headphones.

I have to agree with you about the SOTS for walkups and some jeers, yells....
There is no doubt that stadium reverb is set for these options and can not be changed which is good because is sounds more realistic. Some SOTS music for players work fine and some are really muffled. Case in point... Granderson, Wright, Walker... muffled. Cabrera, Duda, Cespedes great. So the question is this, is it a bug or bad files when played through stadium reverb?

It is strange that some SOTS sound fine, but some don't.

Also, is anyone else noticing that in between innings SOTS music starts like a split second after the default game music has started? Wonder if this is a bug?

I have noticed it, and it's one of the things I bemoan. Very loud 2 seconds of default music, followed by the music I imported sounding much quieter and with zero bass.

Sorry to all if it seems like I'm making a big deal out of this, but SOTS is one of my favorite parts of this game. Last year, once I had all of my imported tunes with the volume adjusted to be about 18% louder than they were originally, I thought it sounded FANTASTIC. It's easy to get spoiled!

Question for CujoMatty -- What decibel level do you use when you make your files? I still haven't given up, still trying to tweak!

98 but its trickier than that. Its better to normalize all songs to 98 before you cut them up. If you have 3 different songs on one track like we do, all 3 need to be the same volume before you try and run them through a program like mp3 gain or they will still have up and down volumes.

Ok thanks. I'm not having any problems either. I thought maybe there was a setting that makes it sound more realistic.
