SOTS 2018 plans and help request

    What’s up fellas.

I talked to lowlighthabit and he’s good to go for another year thank God. I have settled into my job now so I’ll be a lot more active this year as well. We have started thinking about what’s going to be the plan for this year. We made this plan assuming SOTS will be the same as it was last year in game so keep in mind if things have changed the plan will most likely need to change as well.

Lowlight is very keen on cleaning up stadium sounds which I think will be a big focus. We have also decided to focus on the 40 man rosters to begin with and then add the minor league teams as we can down the road.

The format of all files will be the same as they’ve been the last couple years. Lowlight has these things dialed in at this point and him and I have always been on the same page so unless SCEA has changed something it should go pretty smooth.

We are hoping BU1B22 will share his info he’s compiled from the end of last year which was simply amazing, which would help us get something together for game release like we’ve done in the past.

IF ANYONE WISHES TO HELP please pm myself or lowlighthabit. Mixing these things isn’t hard but gathering the info is a pain. We need song, artist, start times, if it’s a remix, any and all info relevant. Stadium sounds. All of it helps. Last year the help was incredible and so much more than the year before and it made for the best SOTS ever. We would like to top that this year so the more help the better. The only thing I’d add is that lowlighthabit and myself have worked on these for a few years and have pretty strong feelings about how they should be and that they remain organized and consistent with the format lowlight has perfected so if you do help make packs we would require them to be in the format we have designated to be included in the pack. With that being said if anyone ever has any suggestions feel free to raise them.

That’s about it for now. We are excited for another great year of baseball.

I’ve got about 75% of the players from last season done on excel sheets. I’ll get working on separating them into teams. Let me know when to start sending them your way

Once lowlight and myself get all our ducks in a row we will reach out. Thanks so much so glad you will be helping us out.

More good news PhilliesFan13 is going to help with the Phillies again this year.

As someone who has MLB Extra Innings/MLB At Bat Packages I would love to jump on board with this project. Walk up/stadium music is part of what makes baseball so great to me!

Can you share them in Google Drive? I have Excel so I can view the source file without having to convert to Google's version. I sent an email your way yesterday about this year so keep an eye out for it.

It was a blast doing the stadium sounds etc packs.. when SOTS first started but life get's/got in way to keep going year after year.

Just wanted to say thanks for keeping it going each year and great work to all of you.

Would be cool if SCEA added a way to export stadium/ team sounds and then import into next years version.
Players sounds would be a bit more complicated I'd think.

                Anyways.. thanks!

I stumbled on chron looking for a player walkup that was traded. Wish they had start points but the info they do have is incredible.

Stream that can individually add sounds this year making things easier then haze to cut 3 out of 1 file I hope we can add a lot more this year though

Which stream and do you know about when it was said in the stream? If they do not add more space in GB's as well as Chants and Yells than I will be disappointed. We require at least double what we had last year.

It was on the presentation stream (sorry my last post didn't make since was typing on the phone was messy haha) sorry i don't know what time it was.

I heard Ramone say about Sounds of the show being easier this year because you could individually add in Audio rather then having to cut 3 parts out of 1, I assume that is what he was talking about.

I Hope this also means we have lots of space this year it makes a massive difference to the game, a pain in the arse to import it all but well worth it.

I’m confused. You could individually add songs every year. We didn’t have to make the packs in threes. The issue has never been the ability to add songs individually or in threes, it’s always been a matter of space. The reason the tracks are in threes is so you can add three times the amount of sounds. Even if they tripled the amount of music slots so we technically didn’t have to put it in threes we still would so we could put in three times the amount of tracks.

Not gonna lie this has me a bit worried because what I got from what you’ve said is that perhaps they took away the ability to set 3 cues in game per track. If that’s the case the amount of space required to fit all our sounds would be astronomical and I can’t see them giving us that much space. Also if every player was their own track the amount of scrolling you’d have to do to assign the sounds would be horrific.

Well I hope that if they made it individual files they at least increased the space needed x20. Because if that is the case, there will not be enough room without a MASSIVE increase in space. I doubt what he said is what he meant. A change like that would warrant some extra time talking about it instead of a passing quote. And if it is, and they increased x20, than it's no big deal to change it for the Season packs. I won't change the Startup packs this year unless we have word from the developer themselves here on the forum saying otherwise.

Love the packs and happy to see you guys planing for 2018 already. I purchased GoldWave and did a lot of editing last year for myself after the updates stopped coming out. I have one tip that could help make it easier when finding the marks 1, 2, and 3 in game. I used Trim and Trim Silence on every song to have the songs start at exactly 0.00, 1.00, and 2.00 for batters or 0.00, 3.00, and 6.00 for pitchers instead of a song starting early or late like 1.08 or so if that makes sense. That way when I'm setting it up in game I know it's exactly at the .00 mark.
