This is so stupid. Adding custom music was one of the best parts of the game! I have custom batter walkup music for 20 teams! So you can't upload your own music on the PS5 version, does anyone know if you can upload it if you buy the PS4 version but play it on the PS5?

You need to understand the “why”. And I said this way back when news of Y2Y was removed.

The feature set must be exactly the same for both XBOX and Playstation as dictated by MLB and Microsoft when the new licensing agreement was made between SDS and MLB.

That is why Y2Y was removed for 21 (and hopefully returns someday and for me to get a new version of the Show I need to know that before getting invested ever again in a franchise).

With SOTS Microsoft does not allow third party music to be used in games in the way we can with The Show.

Period.

This is a huge blow. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. But everyone will find out exactly what the deal is midnight tomorrow. We will find out if you can even use your own sounds for those slots. They are nit even being clear about how that is working for 21.

Meantime I am very happy to stick with 20 on the PS5 with the full SOTS and dozens of incredible classic rosters, Bacons roster and Mcnulty’s 2021 updated roster.

I really hope they can fix this for the future. As for now, like you, I'm just going to stick to last years game on my PS5 with all the features intact.

It may seem a bit much, but after playing franchise with Sounds of the Show I might not even get any new iterations if they drop this feature. It adds so much to the immersion for me...what a shame.

Yea is available on PS4 playing it on the ps5 that’s what I’m doing playing my franchise on the PS4 version with SOFTS on ps5 using PS4 version and playing Dimond Dynasty on PS 5 ver . Works for me graphics basically the same .

Damn I was hoping for a fix tonight lol does anybody know leaving the PS4 on rest mode and leaving the game on still keep the songs still ?

Yes u r fine if u leave it in rest mode. Only messes up if u turn off the system or close the game

Okay, I just want to be sure before I shell out another 60 bucks on the game. If I buy the PS4 version but play it on the PS5, I can upload my own music to the game and use SOTS for custom batter walkup music with sound editor with custom markpoints and everything?

If you preorder the game for 100 the PS4 version is already there no need to buy it just DL it . Yes correct you can use sounds of the show with PS4 version on ps5 the problem is it won’t save ! Let’s hope they fix this issue .

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, I bought the regular PS5 version so I'll need to buy the entire PS4 version too. Its fine, I'll give the PS5 version to my brother. And the markpoints are there too for each song in the music editor? So you can start the music from any point in the song not just the beginning?

OK, I just want to make sure this is correct...
You can have all of the Sounds of the Show for the PS4 version, and can play it on the PS5, correct?

I bought the PS5 version, but may buy the PS4 version to have the SotS.

Also, I see you can add walk up music to a player on the PS5 version, but is that for only the existing music in the game? I did not see anywhere to upload any music to the PS5 version, but I have only spent about a half hour checking out the game.
