Quick question, I'm new to OOTP and was wondering if there are roster updates that come out and update the ratings at all. I'm assuming not, but thought maybe they do something like that later in the season? I'm a huge Giants fan, and the Giants have had multiple rookies really step into starting roles this season, and I'd like to play with a more accurate roster. Most especially Derek Rodriguez, who is in the hunt for ROY but is basically a throw away A-ball pitcher with one star rating/potential. I know you can edit the rosters yourself, but if you play with an edited roster, you can't play in challenge mode apparently. So I was hoping that at some point, the OOTP folks updated the ratings during the season via a patch.

Pretty disappointing. I was able to load it, and while transactions were updated, I didn't notice any updates to ratings. Specifically, ROY candidate Dereck Rodriguez is still rated as a half star talent/potential in A ball, despite being the best starter this year on the Giants with his 2.59 ERA. I dont mind updating ratings myself, I just wish OOTP wouldn't lock out the challenge mode if you do so, then not provide actual decent roster updates.Comment

They didn't do many rating updates in this latest roster update, but, there will be another one closer towards the end of the season with lots of ratings changes.
There's big patch scheduled in the upcoming weeks, look for rating changes when that drops.Comment
