We won again last night, 3-0...took this one something like 13-3...I did alright in the field, was better at the plate but know I can do better, I had one monster shot into left but it was caught, had it not been caught it would have hit the fence...had i hit that shot into right it possibly would have been my first HR.

I was wrong in my other post, one team was 2-0 last time but one of their wins was from a forfeit...I dunno if they won yesterday or not, I dont think so.

We won both games this week but lost last Thursday...so we are now 5-1. Tied for top in the league as far as I know, we my be #1. We play aa real good team on Tuesday but I won't be able to go because I have to work. They have about 3-4 righties that can hit it out consistantly and one lefty that can as well. It will be a solid test, we lost one of our best players to a broken foot, he broke it last weekend so we had to modify the lineup and did well without him. So far I'm pretty sure the only game that we have played all 7 innings was the one we lost 12-6...all the rest were called early by the 10 run rule. I have been hitting much better, had 2 hit the fence the past 2 games, any other field they would be out...but its a 16 foot fence and its a large field they used to use primarily for baseball.

My league finally starts up tomorrow morning. Its gonna be fun. It's mostly an older league, but our team is mostly 19-20 year old guys, so we're a little inexperienced. Offensively we have a lot of pop and we have one kid who will probably hurt a few pitchers this year cause he always hits line drives up the middle. Defense is the funny part. We're gonna give up our bodies for the ball if we can and that should make for some amusing moments. During practice today, I went to make a leaping catch for a long pop fly and had to run up the hill that bordered the field we were on, jumped, almost caught it and sorta tumbled down the hill. It's gonna be a great few months, haha

The team won without me last night against our biggest "rival". It was the team we about got into 2 fights with last year. I had to work so I couldnt make it, but we ended up winning 19-18...it got called after 6 due to the time limit. So we are now at 6-1 at the top of the league. Its going to start getting pretty rough because our pitcher is going to start missing the Thursday night games after this coming week, and will miss one Tuesday game. Without him we are lost because our second best pitcher is aweful, hopefully we can pull something together for when he is gone though.

Second set of games this week. Last week we went 0-2 and lost our first game in the bottom of the last inning. I went 2-3 in that game with a run. Second game I sat out cause I hurt my hand. The team we faced pretty much used our league for practice and a good chunk of them had to be on something cause they were huge. They hit about 15 HRs on us and won 42-2 (they won their first game 37-2).

This week, we lost our first game in the bottom of the last inning because of two bad calls by the umps. In the top of the inning, our batter hit the ball down the line and it popped off of 3B into no-man's land and would have scored the baserunner, but for whatever reason the ump thought it was foul, costing us a run. Then in the bottom of the inning with 2 outs, their batter stepped on home plate while stepping into the swing, which the ump told me should have been an out, but he didn't see it, costing us another run. I went 1-2 with a walk in that game. Then I sat out the 2nd game again, and we mercy-ruled the other team for a win

As of last Thursday we are 7-1...but I think it could start getting interesting because our pitcher will start missing games beginning this week (hes the best pitcher in the league, and our 2nd pitcher is probably close to the worst in the league)

Me and some of the guys went in on a Freak 100 last night, hopefully it will be here by the Thursday game this week. I cant wait to hit it.
