It looks impressive Steve, but with so many baseball titles comng out, its hard to choose. I think I will try to rent everyone before buying one.
My only question about the features is where does the water come to play.(besides rain). Theres no water in baseball!!!

I didn't see a Manage-Only mode in the features list. You'll think they'll have it? Nomally, the PC versions would but the console version wouldn't. But I didn't see the Manage-only mode feature in the PC facts sheet.

Wonder if this year's game will use this year's schedule. Or will it be a year behind, like last year.

Is it me or does the Xbox version look the worst of the three? And what is wrong with the Xbox versions field texture? *sigh*

She definitely is not pretty, but I'll wait to base my opinions on how the animations flow. My biggest concern is whether or not they have went back to the HH2002 days of the bat differentials and we can finally have some realism here.

Graphic wise, this title & the Triple Play series are the ugliest! Yuck!

Yeah, I have to agree that the graphics aren't up to snuff, especially on the X-Box (what happened there??). I mean, look at the shadows! BLECH!

Hopefully the gameplay will make up for it to everyone except the graphics whores out there. This is going to be a tough year to choose....anyone want to loan a fellow gamer $100?

                        Interesting.....

like every other baseball game, all of the stadiums looked filled....EXCEPT for Qualcomm Stadium in the last pic. Since most of the other fields were for teams that were pretty good last year, does this mean that performance could affect attendance like in NCAA2003? Probably just wishful thinking, but decided to point it out anyways.

I'm dissapointed. Screen shots sometimes hold the truth, but after seeing the Gamespot movie, all I can say is; the models look good (kinda small) and there arent jaggies, but it looks the same other wise. Looks like my $50 is gonna buy WSB again. (more than likely)

Re: High Heat 2004 Fact Sheets and Screenshots

To me, the GameSpot movies looked fantastic. Let's realize that this game is probably only in the 60% complete range an my understanding of production cycles leads me to believe that ironing out of animation is usually one of the last things that happens.

That said, the animation looked fantastic in some areas. Pitching animation (not from the stretch) looked great. Batting stances like Tejada and Gonzo looked spot on and smooth as silk when swinging.

One play the CF chases a ball to the wall, scoops the ball up, plants his back foot, turns, and throws to second all in one smooth animation. In another, the RF scoops up a rolling ball, transfers to throwing hand, and fires to first all in one smooth motion.

Transitional animation is indeed in place and it looks fantastic.

There were some areas that looked like they needed work. Pitching from the stretch was very jerky. And some animations looked like they ran too smoothly and needed to be sped up a little bit.

But all around, I find this criticism of the visuals to be especially harsh. Those of you with gameSpot complete, download the hi-res versions of the clips (especially the interview with Saperstein), and you'll see what I mean.

I understand that HH may not look as good as WSB, I'm not going to pretend that it does. But at the same time, many people said that HH played great but looked SO ugly, they wouldn't play it.

To me, I feel that the visuals in HH have improved well past a point of getting those graphic intensive fans to play. Is it the prettiest? Probably not. But I certainly think it looks good enough to enjoy playing (the stadiums look fantastic, for one.

I know I'm getting HH this year because I took last year off (PC version left a baaaad taste in my mouth) but the game looks incredibly improved (full minor leagues!) and has a history of playing very well.

But it is way too early to decide what game to buy based of these visuals. As I said at the beginning of this post - these games are ony 65% complete. Too early to judge, in my opinion.
