HH 2004, definitely. There are 5 levels of difficulty, choose the middle one. Set pitch speed sliders for all pitch types to 9 clicks from zero. You'll have a great baseball sim experience.

For the PS2, 2004, only because the Dangerz High Heat editor allowed for PS2 saves.

My game seems to freeze alot on the box scores screen. I was wondering if all ps2 versions were like this because I was thinking about getting another copy.

That was a common problem. It happened on my copy. It's always a bummer to win a key game and not have it save.

When I played a season, I started to not look at the box score. Bummer if you like stats like I do.

Does not looking at the box score prevent this form happening a 100% of the time though?

From what I remember, it was best to quickly exit that screen, but that didn't always prevent it from freezing.

Darn.....there is nothing I hate more in a video game than freezing. Did this happen with every copy? I'm thinking about buying another copy new and factory sealed but I dont see the point if all copies were like that.

you should pick up a copy for the pc, much better game than on the consols, besides that pudge is going to be releasing a new updated roster over at theperfectgame.net, should be out soon if not already.

I thought about it, but the PC version cost a little more than I'm willing to pay. I never have been a real big PC gamer anyway.

I believe it happens in every copy.

The roster would work on the PS2 game. One would just need a Dangerz editor.

                          Hey, fellas,
I just wanted to chime in for a minute. I tried The Show for a bit, but when I popped in HH 2004, it just felt more like baseball overall, so I'm going to go with HH AGAIN for this season. HH 2004 gives me everything I want in a baseball game. I have three little kids, so getting time to play is not easy. The custom schedule lets me choose EXACTLY how many games the season is going to be. I'm not stuck with 82 which is a little more than I am able to do or 29 which is a bit too few. I can edit ANY players any time. This is important for a roster freak like me. Three levels of minor leaguers is nice, too. And they actually accumulate stats so I can see who my callups should be. The minors are not just a warehouse for extra players. I can set the number of innings per game which is nice. And the tuning sliders actually make a difference. And for me the whole experience feels really good and like real baseball. Pitching feels great and you need to think out your sequence for each batter. Hitting is pretty sweet, too. Yes, the graphics are horrible, but not the worst.
One question for you HH vets - what is this editor? What's it about, how do I get it, what do I need, etc.
Thanks for reading my post. Enjoy your seasons!

What system do you have it for? For the heck of it I just ordered a brand new copy online for the ps2 (it was only $3.99, plus my used copy doesnt have a manual). I havent played much at all of the used copy I already have and I'm going to wait until my new copy gets here. I am really looking forward to getting into this game. Back when High Heat was still being made, it flew under my radar and I never played it back then so its going to be like a new game to me. Yeah the graphics and presentation is awful but the gameplay seems fun and realistic. I cant wait to sink my teeth into it .

The editor was a device created that allowed a user to edit a save game file on a computer and edit a players attributes as well as make player movements, to either a different team, to the minors, as well as to give a player an injury, if you wanted to replicate the actual season.

you can get the editor here, http://files.simcentral.net/file/hhedit-2004-3806.php

To transfer the file from Pc to PS2 your going to need a sharkport or Xport, or Maxdrive.

For the Maxdrive your also going to need a ps2 savebuilder to convert the file to a maxdrive file.
