    Re: ASB Pitch Speed

It really isn't as hard to hit in ASB as it seems. Because the pitches come in so fast, it gives the impression that you have to push the swing button almost at or before the point of release from the pitcher's hand. This is really untrue, however.

You can really wait a bit longer and still make contact a lot of the time. Even though it seems like you would be way late because of the blazing pitch speeds and either hitting everything to the opposite field or missing it altogether, you are still able to pull the ball pretty often. It doesn't look realistic at all because in real life the ball would be in the catcher's mitt by the time you swing, but it works.

I kind of like the feeling that the pitcher has the advantage. It feels more rewarding to get a hold of one. If they could increase the icon size and decrease the number of hits and homeruns per contact, the numbers might be a little more realistic. I still think if they show the pitch icon a tenth of a second sooner, the ball wouldn't look so fast.
