Re: New All-Star Baseball 2004 website is up

Bondsfan, I haven't heard anything about the amount of homeruns.... but it looks like they've addressed alot of the problems people have had with previous versions (manual instant replay, outfield size, etc) so I assume they addressed that one as well.

First thing I'm going to do when I get this game home is play around in the new menus a bit, then start up my New Mexico Ruff Puppies expansion franchise. I hope New Mexico and the Ruff Puppies are still options, at least. It was too cool last year being able to bring an MLB franchise to Albuquerque.

I'll probably sim alot, play a few games here and there against division rivals, and then do all of the all-star weekend stuff.... the futures game sounds fun.

I also can't wait to see what the scenario and pick up game modes are all about, and I want to play a game with the Negro League teams.

Oh, and about comparing the menus to Sega's.... These blow the doors off of anything NBA2k3 or their other games have. That calendar screen is sweet.

I'm not too keen on the font they use in some things. I know they're going for the handwritten look, but I've seen 10-year olds with better handwriting....

Just when you thought the baseball situation couldn't get any more complicated...

I was all about MVP until I saw this and now I don't know what to do. EA needs to come out with a site very similar to this so we can see how everything works and what they have to offer.

This is by far the best franchise around. The Trading Block, Allotment of money for certain parts of the franchise, the prospect radar, the different level of minors, rule 5 draft, arbitration, everything looks awesome.

Except ONE thing. Being an Angel fan I noticed their ratings for some players. C'mon they just won the World Series and the highest rated position player is a B. Garret Anderson is an A, and even though Glaus gets off to slow starts and is streaky he should be a B+. Anderson should at least be a B+. Also, Eckstein is not a B-. Things like that upset me I want my team to be rated accuratly.

Plus, they have Clay Bellinger all over the thing. He was sent down to AAA after a week last year and never came back up. He will never be on the big league roster and I do believe he was waived during last season, so he shouldn't be in the game. Also, I noticed Dennis Cook in the minors for them and he is a Free Agent at this moment so he shouldn't be on the team's roster. Things like this should be taken care of.

I wish ASB would adopt the Madden system for ratings. I like a player being rated 1-99. I don't like the lettering system this should be changed in the future. I would like to see how MVP rated their players. The Angels have a couple A players on their team.

I saw on the frontpage of the website...

                                "With over 50 playable reams..."

Does that mean this game is rated "M"!?!?!
