    Gamepro on HH,MVP and ASBB.....

The newest mag had this to say:
I am going to give the Readers Digest condensed version....

    HH:
High Heats visuals have finally made it to the show. The game still wont lead the league in that category..the preview version of MVP Baseball for example looked much prettier, but it should hang with the likes of ASBB and MLB.
It will deliver an exhaustive franchise mode and
    27 highly detailed pitch modes.
Some significant tuning remained but if 3DO pulls that off it could be the start of a Yankees-like dynasty.

    MVP:
Judging from preview versions MVP might be a contender this season. It has some strikingly fresh ideas, eye-catching graphics and solid physics for hits and pitches. Along with momentum swings,hiring/firing of managers and much more, it could motivate you to play many more seasons than you normally do. MVP could chalenge for at least a penant this year.

    ASBB:
The 2004 edition will deliver a slew of sharp refinements that will please fans of the series, but after playing the preview version this years team looks like a surefire playoff bet but not the eventual WS Champ. The main focus was beefing up the game with meaty new features(download rosters, in depth franchise mode, new trivia game and scenarios to name some) The mechanics of the game felt tight and realistic in the early build but some tuning of AI remained. As in ASBB's of the past(and in real baseball) the pace of the games remain on the slow side. If you're a fan of the series then ASBB 2004 will lure you back onto the field, but if the franchise never really grabbed you then it doesn't look like this season will be the one to win you over.

    Joshua:

a.k.a. Stephen W. Falken, 5 Tall Cedar Road, Goose Island, Oregon"

Um, when did they get these builds? The final versions of two of those games are due out within the next two weeks so either these builds are several months old, the release dates of the games will be delayed, or they will be released with significant bugs and flaws.

HH looks and sounds better and better everyday.

Except for the part, "Some significant tuning remained".

I wouldn't pay much attention to this article...these builds must be pretty old. They should be sending out final review copies to the press soon, not betas with bugs.

                    "Exhaustive franchise mode"

While the silence on HH's franchise has left me wondering, maybe 3DO is ready to drop a bomb on us of the non-suck *** feature quality.

Hey, the gameplay has always been there, but it was always the other stuff that had problems. High Heat needs t come out NOW.

Um, that sounds a lot like PR regurgitation to me. Notice the future tense. Considering that HH 2003 didn't even have the right schedule last year, I'm taking a wait and see approach on their "exhaustive" franchise model. (I do hope they have a good one, but I'm just skeptical.)

Do you think they just wrote this up yesterday, printed all the books then mailed em? Mag's are printed roughly a month and sometimes longer before they hit the mail drops.
