I am going to give the Readers Digest condensed version....
HH:
High Heats visuals have finally made it to the show. The game still wont lead the league in that category..the preview version of MVP Baseball for example looked much prettier, but it should hang with the likes of ASBB and MLB.
It will deliver an exhaustive franchise mode and
27 highly detailed pitch modes.
Some significant tuning remained but if 3DO pulls that off it could be the start of a Yankees-like dynasty.
MVP:
Judging from preview versions MVP might be a contender this season. It has some strikingly fresh ideas, eye-catching graphics and solid physics for hits and pitches. Along with momentum swings,hiring/firing of managers and much more, it could motivate you to play many more seasons than you normally do. MVP could chalenge for at least a penant this year.
ASBB:
The 2004 edition will deliver a slew of sharp refinements that will please fans of the series, but after playing the preview version this years team looks like a surefire playoff bet but not the eventual WS Champ. The main focus was beefing up the game with meaty new features(download rosters, in depth franchise mode, new trivia game and scenarios to name some) The mechanics of the game felt tight and realistic in the early build but some tuning of AI remained. As in ASBB's of the past(and in real baseball) the pace of the games remain on the slow side. If you're a fan of the series then ASBB 2004 will lure you back onto the field, but if the franchise never really grabbed you then it doesn't look like this season will be the one to win you over.
