Yes but this would defeat the purpose of playing the franchise mode. I like simming games myself. Franchise mode has multiple seasons and using the same schedule year after year, gets repetitive IMO. This was one of the reasons why I stopped playing ASB 2003.

I'm a big proponent of random schedules in franchise mode, just like High Heat for the PC has.

I was also dissapointed to hear this was not added to the game. At least games like WSB have the same schedule but the home and away games are alternated each year, which gives the user some variety in the schedule.

I also understand how difficult this would be to implement seeing how some baseball games have unlimited seasons in franchise mode.

The one thing Acclaim Sports could have added was to choose between or alternate btw a balanced or unbalanced, interleague, non-interleague etc. schedule, just like they have for their single season mode.

Yea. random schedules would be nice. But for me, I have never, ever finished a season in any console baseball game.
By the time i get to game 90-100, Football games come out.
I understand if some ppl like to sim seasons or play as much as they sim a random scedule would be nice.
Only baseball game I ever finished a season in is Baseball Pro98, and I simmed the last 60 or so games b/c I was 20 games up in my division.

But for those like me who like to sim/manage and play games at the same time, a random schedule would add so much more to the experience.

Also note, Acclaim SPorts is pushing their Franchise mode and saying how deep and great it is. There is no question in my mind that this will be the case, but adding a random schedule to the game would have pushed it all the way to the top IMO.

Btw, anyone know if High Heat 2004 for the console will have random schedules in franchise mode?

I don't see how someone would not be bothered by having the same schedule every year. Bleh. It kinda takes me out of the fantasy of the game world when I'm opening & closing the season against the same teams every single year. High Heat for PC has a random schedule generator, but it does some funny things, sometimes. An eight game series against one team? Cripes.

What i dont understand is, how hard is it to make random schedules, with the set requirements for each year?? Every other sports franchise has it, why can baseball??

That is ridiculous. When playing in Franchise mode, it's fun to play with different schedules from year to year.

Forget random schedules. Anyone know if HH will even be using the 2003 schedule? Last year, HH was a year behind and used the 2001 schedule. Now that bothers me a LOT more than the random schedule thing.

Over at Baseballsimcentral All Star Baseball 2004 forum, someone is claiming that All Star Baseball 2004 will have random schedules. Can anyone confirm this to be for sure?

PJ noted in our interview that there will be no random schedules, but again this was some time ago.
