You know what's so funny about this schedule thing? The Padres and Giants are opening the season against each other for the third year year on a row. So whay doesn't somebody call and bitch at MLB for their scheduling problems?

Actually the Giants started with SD in 2001 and LA in 2002(and swept them both!) Bonds had 4 homers in the the first 2 games last year.

Really, changing 162 games for each season is more work than changing a 17 week season. But it's useless to rearrange the schedule when you face the same teams almost every year (and like i said before, except for the interleague).

Oh yeah and i remember those times when the Giants swept the padres (opening day 2001 and the second series of the season in 2002).

Seriously. How can you call ASB's graphics "horrible"? I think that they were basically on the same level as wsb or maybe a step above in some areas. Overall it was a good game. Granted, it had its fair share of glitches, but i don't think that the randomized schedule is a MUST in a baseball game.

If you think that it is then, ok, find another game to spend your money on. But it isn't a cardinal sin of baseball game development to leave this feature out. I can guarantee that I will not remember what team i played in the 7th series of the season and i doubt that you will either.

And isn't the motto for the "ASB bashers", that you can have all the features that you want but "it's the gameplay that counts". This is a feature so let it go.

Sorry just had to let a load off.

IMO... all the baseball games look almost equal to each other. The gameplay is something will find out when they are released, and we were given what the games features are. What i say is that it is too early to be "judging a game by it's cover," and please, I wonder if you've even really played the game? Renting is like skimming the surface, you think you know what's inside, but you really don't.

Well lets see, I have been gaming since Pong. So I would think I am a real gamer.
With that said, the main problems of ASBB being pretty boring last year and the player/ball detection were problems that took away from enjoyment of the game. This years version from what I've seen so far, has not made too many strides in fixing these issues.

It shouldn't be that hard to change the teams. All you have to do is assign each team a number that has something to do with division and standing (i.e., 1st Place AL East = 1, Last Place AL East = 5, First Place AL Central = 6 and so on). Then, take the 2003 schedule and switch the teams based on their new number to create the 2004 schedule.

Example: If the Red Sox finish 1st in your 2003 ASB season, they would replace the Yankees on the 2004 schedule. It would change things up a little.

                              Did that make any sense???
