My buddie told me that the camera has been tweaked a bit, there will be a few homeruns in which the camera stays with the outfield. But for the most part, the traditional homerun camera still lives on. I think that adds excitement to the homerun personally, but everyone has their own preferences.

Wow, I completely disagree. As most others have stated, it takes away all of the suspense of whether a ball is a long out or a home run. That suspense is a wonderful part of baseball video gaming. I can see if some really gets a hold of one (say a 440+ foot dinger) that a HR cut scene could be effective. But that should be few and far between, IMO. I am pretty disappointed that it is still not that rare an occurance. Of course, I am mainly hoping that the gameplay is much tighter than last year, i.e. fewer HR's and a much greater variety of hits. It also seemed like the OF's got to way too many balls. Either they were too fast, or the balls just hung in the air too long. If those issues are fixed, I will be very happy with my purchase.

Sounds great! Could you please address my questions I posed earlier in this thread about hit variety and such? That is my big concern, as well as whether or not OF's still seem to get to too many fly balls. Seemed like last year hardly anything ever dropped in for a hit. It was either ground ball singles, line singles, gappers or HR's. There was nary a flare or short fly ball single to be found. Thanks, and I'll be anxiously checking back for your impressions!

                    Re: ALL STAR CURSOR QUESTION

                    Two questions:

With the "timing based" based batting: is it like MVP where you hold the analog to determine what kind of hit you'll get and then and then press the button to swing?

How many batting angles are there ?
