Re: ASB 2005 and the XBOX 360

I was able to make my 360 BC and this was one XBox game I had saved...I still contend this is the BEST baseball game I have ever played. The atmosphere/ballparks/franchise are flat out the best in any game. While the gameplay animations are ugly, I am a MOM guy so I don't mind because it represents what happened on the play and well enough for me. Played a quick game tonight at PETCO against the Dodgers and got shutout 4-0 by Nomo. I think I am going to fire up another franchise with this thing..old rosters and all!

Re: ASB 2005 and the XBOX 360

I would have given updating the rosters a go...but the real problem is not editing the players...but getting the CPU AI to play your edited players.

I do not like to control all 30 teams....so it was impossible to get the lineups close without a ton of moving around...and it was always a crapshoot whether it would work or not...needless to say A TON of frustrating work..

Right now.....this is the perfect game for a fantasy franchise or expansion.

Yeah, I noticed. I was planning on writing down the starting lineups/pitching rotations and then changing all those guys to the correct starting 8 for each team, but can't do it if I can't transfer it.

Plus...if you do it that way you run into the L/R unable to edit problem.
Jim...I'm pretty sure I was able to copy rosters to my Action Replay mem card...

One way I was manipulating the CPU AI was to make the player I wanted as a starter very good and the other guys terrible...the CPU would put him in the lineup...but I was getting a lot of Carlos Beltran batting first.....Reyes batting 5th...and so on....like I said...frustrating.

                Jim,

Need Xport or Xsata. can be done. Guys are doing it with NFL2K5 Xbox roster files now all the time. Lots of instructions on how to do it in that thread if you have an Xport (not Xchange).

Re: ASB 2005 and the XBOX 360

Thanks Capa, but before I buy this item I would like somebody who has it check for me.

                  Here's what I did.

I opened the dashboard (I think that's what you call it), on the 360 and went to SYSTEM/GAMES and I see the ASB saved files. One is the OPTIONS and when I go to that I see the ability to transfer that file, or delete it, but when I go to ROSTER 1, which is the saved roster file I was working with I only see "delete"????? It shows me nothing to click on to copy/transfer it. Make sense?

I don't see an option to copy it or transfer it at all. Maybe I'm missing something.

I'll check out the thread, thanx.

I have the X-Port. I will try to add your franchise file for 360 use tonite. I'll let you know if I have any success. BTW, thanks for all the hard work getting the roster updated and the edits.

Success! Ok, here are the steps I took using the XPORT:

                      1. Create a game save in ASB05 XBOX 360.
                      2. Download roster "AllstarBas_Franchise 2.zip" to Desktop.
                      3. Right click on zip file and choose "Extract Here" This will create a UDATA folder on the desktop.
                      4. Click on the UDATA folder and you'll see a folder named "4143001c"
                      5. Click on the folder "4143001c" and you'll find a folder named "40374FCD9FDB"

CONNECT THE XPORT TO YOUR PC

                      1. Launch XPORT software; go to Partition 3 > Compatibility > Xbox1 > UDATA.
                      2. Click on UDATA and you will see a folder named "4143001c" this is your ASB05 game save folder.
                      3. Go to your Desktop and drag the "40374FCD9FDB" to the right side of the plane. If you try to drop in into the folder on the left side a circle with a slash will appear. Drop it on the right side. This will create a folder that will show up on the left side of the plane.
                      4. Connect the XPORT back to the 360.
                      5. Start ASB05.
                      6. From the Main Menu, go to Hard Disk > Franchise and load Franchise 2.

Prepare to start spring training with the Admirals!

I think all the steps are here -- but I'm getting sleepy!

                        mymag,

Do me a favor. I can see that you can save your game (season). The problem is with the Roster file.

Go to FEATURES, I think it is. You will see rosters/edit rosters, something like that. You can then save this roster that your editing. It will show up as ROSTER 1 and I see that when I go to SYSTEM in the 360. My problem is I don't see an option, once you click on ROSTER 1, to transfer that. It just says DELETE.

                        See what I'm saying?

that ADMIRALS save you're speaking of is my ADMIRALS season/franchise with all the teams updated, however, I had to make all the roster moves AFTER I started a season/franchise (which sucks, as this game won't let you do it with the default roster before you start your season/franchise).

                        Hope I didn't confuse you.

I want to edit the roster PRIOR TO STARTING A SEASON/FRANCHISE so that there is a current roster for each team in the game. I can do that and save it. I just can't get that ROSTER 1 file moved to the memory card.

Ok, after reading the whole thread I see what you are trying to do. I will give it a shot using the XPORT/xchange.

Is there in fact an updated 2007 roster file for this game? or are people just trying to get the game to run on the 360?

I have an orig Xbox and was looking for updated rosters for this...anyone have any idea?

I've never seen an updated roster for this. I will do one for the XBOX360 if I can figure out if it's at all possible to transfer, or even find it on the HD, the saved ROSTER file. I can see it, but my only option are to DELETE it.
